Miguel felt some level of excitement as he sat across from Laura. A million was nothing to him, he could easily pull that off, without breaking a sweat. Laura and her parents didn't know that of course.
All they knew about was the misfortune that befell his family and made him a nobody. But they were in for a surprise. However, as he looked into her eyes, he saw something beyond desperation.
"I’m not a gold digger," Laura said, she sounded like she was tired . "It's not even about the money. I only met with Jason because I feared what he might do to my family. This isn't about greed, Miguel. It's about survival, the survival of my family"
