Elizabeth took a deep breath, clutching her handbag tightly as she stepped out of the car.
The morning air was nice, but it did little to cool the fire burning inside her. She adjusted her blazer, squared her shoulders, and forced herself to walk with confidence into the office building.
Her heels clicked against the tiled floor, each step a reminder that she couldn’t afford to slack now. "Calm down, Elizabeth," she said.
