LISA'S APARTMENT Lisa lay sprawled across her bed, flipping through a book, when her phone buzzed on the nightstand. She glanced at the screen, saw her father’s name, and exhaled a small sigh before swiping to answer. “Hi, Dad,” she said, her tone polite but tinged with reluctance.
