Laura paced anxiously in the room, her heart pounding as she faced Hank and his men. Her eyes darted nervously towards the corner where her two children huddled, their faces smeared with tears.
"Laura, Laura, Laura! And I thought you'd never come looking for me... I'm honored," Hank said with a smirk, obviously mocking Laura.
Laura moved closer and went on her knees.
"Please, I beg of you, don't hurt my children, please. They're just children," Laura said.
Hank sat in a chair, looking at Laura as though she was some kind of prey, while his subordinates stood at attention.
"Oh! Laura, you don't need to beg me so much. I'm not as bad as you think, you know. I just want you to understand me. I need you and I to be on the same page," Hank said to Laura.
