Elizabeth, heard a knock on her room door. She glanced up from her phone and called out, "Who is it?"
"It's me," Laura’s voice came from the other side.
Elizabeth set her phone aside and stretched her legs before responding. "Come in."
Laura entered, closing the door behind her. She moved toward the bed, sitting beside Elizabeth with a sigh. She wanted to get some answers but she wasn't sure how to begin with the questioning.
"Miguel said the kids can go home with me," she announced. "He said it by himself before I even got to ask," she added.
Elizabeth’s lips curved into a small smile. "About time. I love my babies here with me, but they needed their mom around more, and their mommy refused to move in with us," she said, laughing.
