Selene laid on the bed, her heart still racing from the terrifying encounter last night. But
something feels… off. The memory of those glowing eyes—Damon Voss—is burned into her
mind. She couldn't get her mind of it, at least for a moment
She sits up, touching her wrist where he had marked her. The skin isn’t bruised, yet she swears
she can still feel a strange warmth there, she still feels pain a little, it still feels like he's still
holding her. Maybe she imagined it. Maybe it was just adrenaline.
But then she hears something. A whisper in her head.
"I told you, Selene… you belong to me now.
"
She sits upright, eyes darting around. No one’s there. Just her dark, quiet room. But the words
linger. It feels like she was insane.
The Day Feels… Different. Not as it usually feels.
At school, everything feels wrong. The lights are too bright. The sounds are too loud.
She can hear conversations across the hallway—things being said far away from her, things she
shouldn’t be able to hear.
Someone brushes past her, and her skin tingles like she’s been shocked.
She starts feeling dizzy, overwhelmed. Her head felt like it was spinning, she was definitely not
alright.
Selene tries to ignore it, pretending everything is fine. But deep down, she knows something
inside her is changing. She knows she's slowly turning into someone completely different.
After school, she senses someone watching her again. Every time she turns around, she sees
nothing, no one beside or behind her . But the feeling won’t leave.
Then, suddenly—a hand grabs her arm.
She moves backwards a bit, ready to scream, but then she sees him. The man from last night.
Her rescuer.
Ronan Blackwood.
"We need to talk,
" he says, voice low, it's urgent.
She doesn’t trust him, not fully. But something tells her he has answers to all of this happening .
The Danger is Real
Ronan leads her somewhere quiet, watching her closely.
He tells her she’s in danger now. That Damon Voss won’t stop until he accomplishes his mission
.
She demands to know why.
That’s when Ronan tells her:
"You’ve been marked as one. That means he’s claimed you.
"
"And that means you're part of this now, whether you like it or not. You can't change it "
Selene refuses to believe it. Marked? Claimed? It sounds insane. But then she remembers the
strange whispers, the sharp senses, the tingling skin.
Something is happening to her. And for the first time, she’s truly scared. She's lost and does not
know what to do.
The Shadow Returns
Just as she’s trying to process everything, she feels it again. That presence.
She turns—and sees Damon standing across the street, watching her. Smirking.
A shiver runs down her spine. She wants to look away, but she can't. Whenever she sees him,
she loses control of herself.
Then, in her head, she hears his voice again.
“See you soon, Selene. But till then take care ”
