Lilith has always been indifferent to everything. When her younger brother was born. When she got her first girlfriend. Even when her mother died she didn't shed a tear. She hasn't smiled or laughed since she was 8 years old.

Lilith is seen as the freak of the school because she doesn't follow the rules and she doesn't look like your average 18 year old girl going to school. She has tattoos, piercings, colored hair, and always wears everything else than the school uniform. The school has strict rules about how people are allowed to look with hair, piercings and clothes, and Lilith is breaking all of the rules at once.

Lilith has two jobs on top of school and she has to share an apartment with two others to make ends meet, and she doesn't see a point in going to school.

But one day it all changes. A transfer student named Talia, who is completely Lilith's type, shows up and their paths continue to cross.

There is just one thing: Lilith knows that Talia is hiding something. She has to find out what she's hiding before she can even think about getting together with her.

This story follows their developing relationship in a world where people attracted to their own gender are discriminated.

Chapter 1
Lilith As I walked down the hallway of the school, people avoided me like usual. Even though we were in the 12th grade, people still got scared of me. I already knew that it was because of my differently colored hair, my clothing style, and the numerous tattoos that decorated my skin. There were very strict rules at school about school uniforms, but I couldn’t be bothered. I didn’t have any motivation to try hard for school. I was tall, muscular, and a lesbian. People didn’t take very kindly to people that were attracted to their own gender. Society was progressing on so many levels, but they still hadn’t moved at all with lesbians and gays. Or even bisexuals. There were people who would get scorned and shut out of social circles simply because they liked their own gender. I was wearing a black jacket over a gray crop top, a pair of loose black sweatpants, and a pair of ankle boots. My pale skin was adorned with tattoos of dragons, ravens, skulls and much more in mostly black and white or even some blue sprinkled in there. My long silver colored hair, which reached past my ass, was styled in a half-messy bun and loose hair. My ears were covered in piercings and my storm-gray eyes were cold and indifferent. I usually had my headphones around my neck so I could put them on when the teachers wouldn’t shut up. I wore silver and black rings on almost all my fingers. I also wore a necklace. I walked out onto the roof of the building. People had figured out that this was my spot, so they usually didn’t come here. As I sat down, I noticed that there were almost no clouds in the sky. I wasn't usually that detail oriented, but for some reason, it really stuck out to me today. I laid down and put on my headphones. I then put on my playlist, and slowly drifted off to sleep. I woke up because the sun was shining in my face. I held up my hand to cover my face. After lying like that for a bit, I decided to get up. I checked my phone and the time was only 12:48. Meaning there were still around two hours of school left. Not that there would be anybody waiting for me when I got home. My mother died when I was eleven years old. Me and my younger brother, who is three years younger than me, had different fathers, so when our mother died, my younger brother’s father took him with him and left, leaving me all alone. Ever since that day, I haven’t seen my younger brother, and I have been working to take care of myself. I have two jobs at the moment, while I go to school. But I have a small place that I share with two roommates, who are both guys. One of them is gay and the other one said that I am not his type, so I didn’t feel nervous about living with them. They were actually okay to be around. We’ve made some rules, and we all follow them pretty well. I walked down the stairs towards the classrooms and everybody I passed either took a step back, or walked in a big circle around me. Not that I mind. I hate unnecessary physical contact except for when it comes to s*x. I at one point had a girlfriend who at first was very understanding of my situation, but as time went on and as I refused to touch and cuddle outside of our intercourse, she started going out with other people behind my back and started all kinds of rumors about me. She then, one day three weeks later, confessed that she had f****d one of her guy friends, and I just broke up with her. She got mad that I broke up with her so easily, but I didn’t really care. I arrived at my classroom and the people inside turned their heads. “You’re late.” the teacher said, annoyed. I walked over and grabbed my bag and then walked back towards the door again. “Where are you going, Lilith?” she asked, and I stopped. I turned my head and looked at her. “I’m going to work. I don’t attend your classes anyway, so what do you care if I leave?” I answered and left the classroom. I walked out to the parking lot and got onto my motorbike. I drove deeper into the city until I came to the Entertainment District. One of my jobs entailed being a bartender in a lesbian strip club. It paid pretty well considering I’m not there full time. I arrived at the strip club. It was called ‘Heaven’s Angels’ and it was very popular. The club was very popular because a girl or a woman could put on a mask or a veil and then hide their identity while exploring their tastes. I walked in through the back door and put my phone and headphones in my locker. I took off my jacket and put on my cap. I entered the club and walked over to the bar. I noticed Paige standing behind the bar, cleaning. She looked up and smiled when she saw me. “Hey, Lilith. You’re here early. Don’t you have school around this time?” she asked. I shrugged my shoulders. “I do have school, but there’s nothing interesting about going to school. I still don’t understand why I have to go,” I answered. “Well, Kendall is probably going to get mad if she finds out that you skipped school again. She thinks it’s important to get an education and have the chance to make friends as well.” I walked over and started organizing the bottles. “Then she should go.” “You know what I mean.” “…” I could already tell that this day was going to be long.
