Loving Nicky

Chapter One: I swear if you don't get up I won't make you coffee "Nicky I swear if you don't get up, I won't make you coffee!" Screams my roommate and best friend Sage. "I'm up!" I call out as I slowly get out my bed and walk in the living room. I see on our clock it's six in the morning. It's to early for this. "It's too early for this s**t Sage!" I call out as I walk into the kitchen and pour myself a cup of coffee. While I am pouring a cup of coffee my cats: Little Bit and Spike are all around me and begging me for their treats. "You meow meows want some treats?" I ask them. Little answers back with a whiny: "Meow!" I get them the needy cats their treats. I slowly walk in the living room with my cup of coffee in my hand. I sit on our leather couch that my parents bought us. Sage is sitting across from me. She has her long blonde hair in a messy bun. She has an Ed Sheeran t-shirt on and Hello Kitty pj pants on. "Ready for your first day as a sophomore in college?" She asks me as she takes a sip of her coffee. "Yeah, just nervous." I sigh.. "You are going to do great." She smiles at me. "Did you eat breakfast?" Sage questioned me. "Yes." I lied. "Good." She smiles. She believes me, for now. "You ready for your first day at your new job and for college?" I ask her. Sage works as a waitress by day but by night she is an actress. A pretty damn good one at that. She auditioned for the musical: "Alice In Wonderland," and she got the role of Alice. I am very proud of her. Sage is happy to but she just wishes she could be the star of a movie or tv show. But I encouraged her that doing plays will help me build up her career so she can get the roles in movies and tv shows. "Yeah I am." She smiles back at me. I smile back at her. "Okay I am going to get ready." Sage gets up and walk to her room. I get up and get dressed. It's fall in Arkansas (like we have a fall in Arkansas, so it's still so hot outside) so I decide to wear a short red dress with v-shape neckline. I put on a black belt on my waistline. I am wearing black flats that are comfy. For my hair I brush and curl my short brown hair with bangs. For my makeup I go with foundation that hides my freckles, a black smokey eyeshadow, eyeliner, maescrea, and light pink blush. "How do I look Little and Spike?" I ask my cats. Worthless. Ugly. Fat. Pig. "Stop." I say out loud to try to stop my thoughts from racing. "Let's do this." I get in my Silver Ford Edge (aka car) and drive while listening to Ed Sheeran. Time for a new semester in college! Here goes nothing! ***
