Chapter Six Hunter chatted with a few people, mostly Roger’s employees, at the back of the hotel ballroom. When Roger had invited him to the company’s ten-year anniversary party, he’d jumped on it. Hunter knew this was probably matchmaking on Roger’s part, but he’d take it. He’d been an ass for not calling Rachel. This was a golden opportunity to speak to her and make things right. Maybe, just maybe, she’d find it in her heart to forgive him and let him take her out. Rachel walked gracefully onto the dais and handed Roger the microphone. She said a few words to him, a beautiful smile on her face, and then stepped back. In her fitted black pants and heels with her purple silk blouse, she looked the epitome of a confident professional.
