Dom released Chad and pulled his arms up to cover his head, only one making it before the bulk of the loft came down on them. There was no time to say anything; he couldn’t have given a warning if he wanted to. One moment he was cowering against the wall, the next he was covered in dust and bits of wood. Splinters pricked his skin, but he’d protected his face. Dom coughed, swore. At least Kiko wasn’t here to see this.
