Pride 27: The After Glow

PRIDE I tilt my head down to stare at Jess. With the sunlight shining through our window casting an otherworldly glow about her, she looks absolutely bedraggled with her hair in a mess and her eyes still crusty from sleep yet I still found her incredibly attractive. The feeling is unsettling. I’ve never found anyone particularly agreeable like I do with Jess. Especially not looking like how she is now but something about her is just so innocent and pure. It’s alluring that I can’t fully comprehend it. Was I losing my mind? Is this how being human is like? To unconditionally feel this way for one person? Has spending so much time with her changed me so quickly?  “When I become a professional swimmer, I really hope the two of us can see the world.” She whispered with a dreamy expression.
