He had never been a big fan of funerals, in fact he hated funerals so much he refused to go at his own grandfather’s funeral. It was not the idea of death but instead the idea of people gathering around to feel sorry for the dead person who as Ace says, can’t help you or himself anymore. Death is a peaceful forever so why cry over someone who probably didn’t feel sad while leaving. But then maybe he had no sentiment about them leaving that he felt this way. Maybe in future when it comes a time where he care about the person, he can join in the crowd of those people with redden eyes and trembling shoulders. He probably won’t even show up on his brother’s funeral but this was different, more than that. This was Ace, though she might not need him but her desire to make him stand beside her
