Chapter 17: Travelling thru Lala's heart

           Lala and Leonardo decided to travel through Asia by ship. It is Leonardo’s long-time dream to do it an experience the sea, different places to see and people to meet globally. Leonardo said to be back  two weeks in time for Em and Leopold’s wedding. He said he wouldn’t miss it for the world. Lala will be coming back earlier to attend to her father’s businesses, so Leonardo will be exploring Asia with eyes sparkling with excitement even if they hadn’t gone there yet. Em kissed Leonardo on the cheek and hugged Lala. Leopold hugged his twin and kissed Lala on the cheek while whispering to the lady’s ear to take care of his baby brother. Lala smiled and said she will with her life. And off they went for the ride of their life.

                Leonardo hasn’t gone farther than Africa but sailing across Asia with the one he loves is a wonderful and totally different adventure of his life.

                Hey, come here and drink this, I heated this up, mom used to make this for me and my brother when we were kids, Lala called out for him standing so excited looking at the breath taking view of the Pacific Ocean, the ship they’re sailing on was given to Lala as a gift from her dad on her 18th birthday.

At the age of 20 years old, she has been in and out of the sea travelling with her comrades, her mates, Jim, Joana and Hector. Hector is the Captain. Joana and Jim are the 1st and 2nd mates of the ship. The ship is made of Titanium Steel, dark gray in color and has height of 12,000 feet. Wide of thousands of cubic feet, it can dive into the deep sea and carry tons of blocks or bulks either cargo or cars and trucks. This ship named Zeus is one of its kind. It can fire missiles like nuclear bombs and can let out fire that stands as force field to protect the ship and its passengers for many hours. It has compartments that partitions as rooms for passengers. The ship consist of two floors, one for the passengers and the first floor are for cargos. The main deck that is placed on the crown of Zeus has the captain’s wheel to manuever him. It is not the usual boat wheels but a modernized car wheel that can easily stir without sweat and like a speed racer, this metal racer runs on 20 knots. (or 30+ miles per hour). It has been recoiled and redeveloped to be one of the fastest ships in the world.

                Wow!, hhot chocolate with mallows, my favourite, Leonardo said laughing like a child. Oh, I’m glad you like it, Lala said gladly handing him his cup with a cookie on the side. This ship is magnificent, I never thought I could ride this forever, how did your dad able to make this?, Leonardo asked curiously. Lala, looked at him and then almost hesitating, Ah! Well, it’s a new invention from a faction called REVO, but they got disbanded a year ago. Our head (who was supposed to be Theresa, terminated the group liquefied all that was of the revolutionary group to overthrow Montfort Royalty) Hmm, she just abandoned us and left to travel the world, so I heard. Anyway, I still want to continue on fighting for the sakes of our people, but I think I’m about to change my mind, now that I have met you, Lala looked at Leonardo and touched his cheek taking out some cookie crumbs scattered on it and kissed him gently on the lips. The original plan is to seize the one of a kingdom’s royal heirs and kill him, Lala thought of it and when she’s about to slide the dagger on to Leonardo’s back, while Jim and Joana were hiding out on the shadows on the far side of the ship near the ropes and anchor, waiting for her signal to capture Leonardo. However, Lala, wasn’t able to pierce it for Leonardo got a hold of the dagger and kissed her gently until she totally released her hold of the weapon. Leonardo threw the metal piece overboard. You knew???, Lala whispered surprised but almost crying now that she was found out. Yes, Lala and Jim, Joana and Hector are my secret agents, the ones I hired to find more about you and your background. I..then I will be dead now since I tried to kill you, Lala added feeling shame but regret for she is falling in love with the prince after all. No, I ordered for the ship to continue with its course and advised the captain to visit your dad to ask your hand for marriage, if, if you’ll have me, as your future husband and love. I know you’ll learn to love me Lala, or shall I say, Lorena Saunders, daughter of Lord Michael Saunders, the richest tycoon of Asia and Tunisia. I believe he is in India now, right, on a business engagement. I want to meet him. Lala was now sobbling when she heard about the offer. She then hugged Leonardo and kissed him on the lips. Now she no longer need to hide her feelings for him and love him truthfully. Her dad hated the Montfort Line but I can talk sense out of him when we finally get to India. Jim and Joana will protect us, they are worth 10 men with their excellent military skills. Victoria taught them in her class and she is our head of security int eh castle. Oh Victoria, Maria’s mom, Lala, answered. Yup, the one and only Lightning Lady of the South, Tunisia, Leonardo added proudly. Wow, I really w anted to meet her, this would be the most exciting travel and engagement ever, Lala cried all fired up for the adventure. I’ll introduce you to her when we come home Tunisia, the prince added while still mesmerized by what the world looks like outside of the walls of Montfort Castle, Tunisia. Steemit or the year 3001 is called. 2020 was a disastrous year where pandemics and climate issues soar like fireflies caught on huge fire and burned many souls to die. But a few stayed strong and lived to see this day and age. After hundreds of years anticipating change and hope. Steemit emerged. High metal walls and construsted or engineered homes were built to withstand extreme heat and cold. Some countries still experiences snow but unlike Yaakutz in Russia, a person can only stay outside the cold for 1 minute or he’ll freeze to death. Now since the weathers are extremes on some ares of the world, people migrated to Mexico and Philippines for a much more stable climate which doesn’t have winter season at all.

                The cities are now built in steel and only rides electric powered cars with bullet proof and UV rays window shields and windows for protection against too much heat or sudden snows/ice. Climates in some countries can go crazy at times, so it’s better to be prepared than sorry. Human robots now exist as if they are real people too. Before in year 2025, robotic companies like GE tried to create humanoids but unsuccessful. Now due to modern technology and titanium powered machines, one can make their own human robot through a click of a button. Like one is making pizza or baking cake, you can already make your own home made robot. Flying cars are still being invented and developed but planes and ships has excelled tremendously that this part of the world is still untapped and yet to be discovered. Phones, laptops or computers are now digital and is chip operated. On can use their hands by flipping their finger and there a hologramic screen will appear so one no longer have to carry a cell phone or computer with them. Just an ear phone or a head set built to have holographic effects on someone’s personal chip either places on the palm of their hand or tip of their ears.  The elderly people during this year will dominate the workforce. People will live longer due to improved climate changes and clean airs. The youth will find their place in the field of sciences, technologies, and engineering. Digitalization of everything is prominent and everyone will have access to banks, stores, restaurants, companies and businesses online. Even hospitals and police force are digitized. Robotic or android policee will be in charge of protecting and securing people, lands and countries around the world. Equality among religions, races and colours are upheld and followed on strict measures. Men and women are now on equal footing. All will have the same opportunities regardless of one’s gender, race, religion, or whether he or she is a man or a woman, weak or strong, intelligent or less capable. All will have a chance at work and job opportunities everywhere in the world. Food are either on liquid forms or candies like tablets that one can take and no longer need to bother chewing. However, people can still make, heat or cook their own meal at home through electric stoves or ovens that would only take them a couple of minutes to prepare. Homes and furnitures are like Ikeas’ that no longer need to be set up but rather by a push of a button a chair, television or porch can be readily and mechanically hologrammed and physically appear for use. Hologram meetings and video calls are popular on this year. One no longer need to attend a meeting even if it’s on another city or country. Unless the executive or boss wanted to meet his business partners and fly using our innovated jet planes, he os she can attend in a simultaneous meet online or by holograms, thus wouldn’t be late or absent on their important business calls ever again. Cars are modernized by making doors automatic to close or open. Through a palm or ear detectors with serial numbers for the car or motorbike, trucks or planes, ships to detect the owner and readily, instantly programmed to turn on when he or she is near the vehicle. Power steered, the vehicles can be automatic or can run by itself through automated systems and by android voice commands and control like Siri or Alexa but more sophisticated than turning on the light or cleaning floors but turning on vehicles and machines at home or at work.

                I wonder what’s happening with Leonardo now? It isn’t like he’s in danger or something, Leopold said to himself. Thinking that his brother is alright with Lala. But he just knew the girl a couple of years and how can we be sure she isn’t one of the enemies who had been trying to kill our family ever since?. Ayayaayay noooo, stop thinking Louis, he’ll be alright, besides he’s a grown man now and he can take care of himself. Louis!!! dinner is ready, Tessa called out, “come down here and call for Em too, her mom’s going to come home soon.” Oh yah, Victoria and Maxim spent their sort of honeymoon since they were separated even before they can have their romantic time together, and they chose Paris. Em’s checking on our brides maids like three of the most close women in our lives, Nica and Sheila. Then I guess I’d be getting my brother as my grooms man and the flower maiden would be Lala, and hmm, I can’t think of anyone more close than our mom. I missed her so much, How is she, I wonder? Em supper’s ready come quick, Leopold called out for Em who’s about to finish the gowns ornaments for her bridesmaids. She believes that hand-made or hand woven dresses on weddings sends good luck for the soon to be wed couple or what the old tales say.

                Beatrice is always on the lookout. Always trying to protect and care for her son well. Maxim is her only son and the twins held a special place in her heart when they lost their mom due to a misunderstanding about mistaken identities. She saw that Leopold is safe in the villa. Beatrice now checks on Leonardo on the ship, she now transformed to somewhat like a bird flying in the sky though invisible and can’t be seen by the naked eye. She sees Leonardo through her x-ray like eyes. Having been cursed like this has its perks and I’m getting the hang of it now that I can protect my love ones using my powers. Oh, he has a girl now, good for him, I hope she’s a keeper. Beatrice, stayed a bit and when she found that everything’s okay she disappeared like smoke and was scattered in to the wind.

                Haaa! Traveling is fun but my feet is killing me from the ride. It’s like a 5 hour ride from the airport to here, my goodness, it’s like a nightmare, Victoria complained taking her carry on with her. Hmmm, but was the vacation that horrendous, or magnificent? Maxim cried whispering to Victoria’s ear that made the lady blush when he said something lewd. Her eyes popped out and crashed the carry on to his arm. Haha, see now your smiling and pretty red from our hot se….., Maxim wanted to continue his lewdness when his mouth was covered by Victoria’s hands, throwing the luggage on the ground not caring whether she had something valuable to break in there. You crazy… sexy, guy, hmp! Victoria said laughing and now teasingly looking at Maxim who bit her hand slightly. Ouch!, you…now Victoria ran after the man wanting to slap him but instead Maxim got a hold of her hand and kissed it, and then playfully licked her fingers. Ehemmmm!!! Mom, Dad???, Em was standing in front of them and was already there for about 15 minutes merely wanting to kill herself from embarrassment since Leopold was with her watching the two of the middle aged couple play and tease with ease.

                Dinner is served, so get your fill while it’s hot, Tessa said smiling. We’ll just head for the shower first, I really feel filthy with all that sweat because of the long trip back here, Victoria said while running after Maxim laughing with him. Ahhhh! Like teenagers in heat, they’re pretty awesome and fun to be with, romance is in the air, don’t ya think, ah er..Em??!! okee, let’s eat before the food gets cold. Umm, yummy escargot and sushi, sashimi, way to go Tessa, this meal is a winner, yet again!, Leopold said not looking at Em’s eyes  who is a bit annoyed with how her parents behaved. Hey, they’re alright, I wish when we grow older we be like them, still sweet and horny…err, romantically loving and fun with each other. Hehe, Honey, smile, you’ll grow old when you keep on frowning and all, Hmm, this escargot is so yummy, try it, come on!, Leopold added just to make talks. Em just sighed and smiled releasing the tension of the whole couple thing and maybe the idea of getting married. It really scared the hell out of her. She never mentioned this feeling to Leopold but now that the wedding is near, she is feeling more and more anxious and nervous like she wanted to back down from it. It’s just too much for her to handle.

                Em, what’s wrong, are you okay? Victoria asked when she saw Em looking through the window sill of her room. You seemed worried, what is it dear?

                Ah, nothing mom, it’s just wedding jitters maybe? Em cried jokingly but her face turned serious all of a sudden. I’ll be fine!.

                Okay, just remember that, whatever it is, I have felt the same way before marrying your dad, which happened in a civil rights not really a church wedding. I remembered your grandma saying when she was still alive. If you love your man well enough to give yourself to him in marriage, it is like giving your right and your will as a person for him the same goes with him. If you can do that, then he is the right one to settle down with. But that’s just me and it’s totally different for you, you have a choice!, And I will not make that one for you, it’s going to be you because you need to do it for you and not for anybody else, Victoria said sincerely while touching and pinching Em’s cheek
