SEVERAL MILES DOWN the road, Josh spotted what he hoped would be just the thing for their needs. A good-sized country church stood beside the highway, complete with an adjacent cemetery; and more importantly for their purposes, he could see a huge stack of firewood behind the church.
He pulled the van in behind the church, and Jake said, “Are we going to bury your friend here?”
“No. I don’t like the thought of him being buried in a strange place. On the other hand, that double row of firewood stacked between those two trees will make one hell of a funeral pyre for him.”
