Tuesday
JAKE WALKED UP to where Josh and Caleb were standing, with Jethro and Rex right behind him.
“Ready to go inside?” Josh said.
“Just like we did yesterday?” Jake said.
“Yeah, except this store doesn’t have skylights.”
“But you’re gonna take care of that with the generator, right?”
“You bet. Meanwhile, let’s get the show on the road.”
They stepped inside the darkened store, and Josh said, “Rex, patrol.”
Rex began to sniff his way around the store, and eventually returned to where they were standing. His tail was wagging happily.
“Okay guys,” Josh said. “Let’s take a shopping cart out to the van and get the generator and the wires I rigged up.”
