Elena POV
A knock.
My heart pounded in my chest as I walked quickly to the door, my thighs still aching from yesterday. Yet in my heart I couldn’t stop a small blooming hope that I would find Draven on the other side.
Immediately after having breakfast, I’d left his room and went back to mine wearing his clothes. Though they did a very good job in hiding my unsteady steps, I feared that nothing could hide the fact that I hadn’t slept in my room last night.
All it would take was one look and everyone could probably tell exactly what had happened yesterday.
“Lucas!” My smile wavered as I wrenched open the door to find him there, “what are you doing here?”
To his credit, he didn’t mention it.
“There’s a matter that requires your attention Luna.” Lucas said, his face was grim.
