Chapter Two

Crow She was beautiful, even in that boxy blue uniform you would have to be blind to not notice it. And it was boxy. Not at all like the nurses out fits that seemed to enter every red blooded man’s imagination at one point or another. Not that it mattered , it looked sexy as hell on Chloe’s voluptuous curves. Sitting opposite her , out plastic take out cups of coffee steaming between us. “So…” she took a cautious sip. Her lips drawing back when the boiling liquid burnt her tongue. “Dammit.” I hid my smile, almost choking it back. I made her nervous. Sitting here with me made her nervous. Not that I could blame her for that. A nice girl like her wasn’t used to men like me. She was interested, that much was pretty clear but she wasn’t used to me or even men like me. “Hot?” “Yes.” She stuck her tongue out and this time I failed to hide my grin. My eyes on the tongue she had poked out. Almost instantly my d**k jumped to attention. Oh the things I could do with that pink tongue. All the dirty things I could do with that mouth. It was on the tip of my tongue to say something when I remembered where I was. In a hospital cafeteria with my son asleep upstairs. Now was not the time to be hitting on one of the nurse. At least not until he was discharged. Not until Ty was home. The thought made me lick my lips. Yeah when Ty got home and was safe then I could have a taste of the nurse in front of me. I was betting she would be sweet. Too sweet for me. But I was going to go there anyway. One night. Maybe two. “This coffee tastes like absolute ass.” I said it softly. My eyes never leaving her face. I hadn’t even touched my coffee and she knew it. A blush crept up her neck as I carried on staring. “It’s not so bad, you get used to it.” Suddenly she looked away as if she had suddenly become aware that she had been staring right back at me with that little pink tongue poking out between her pouty lips. “No one should drink this swill…. You should let me take you out for a real drink?” Leaning forward I crossed my arms on the Formica table top. “You want to take me out for a coffee?” One eyebrow arched. I couldn’t quite work out whether she was working hard at looking offended or trying not to look excited. Both emotions seemed to be warring over her face. She was a confusing woman. I gave her a shrug. “Coffee, something stronger?” I let my eyes wander slowly down her body. I didn’t try to hide it. And the blush deepened. “Maybe a quiet night in?” She spluttered. Her cheeks turning from pink to beetroot in a split second. “Quiet night in?” I nodded. “Maybe a movie and ….” What fid the kids call it. It was something lame but looking at her sat there , it sounded like a great plan. “Netflix and chill? Are you… oh my god Crow.” She howled with laughter and I frowned. What the hell was so funny? “What?” Shaking her head she rose to her feet, her rubber bottom shoes squeaking on the floor slightly as she walked around to me. “Nothing, nothing but I don’t think it’s such a good idea. Thank you for the coffee.” She bent at the waist, pressing her lips to the skin of my cheek. “But the answer is no. Now drink both of these and get back to your boy.” She turned and would have walked away if I hadn’t caught her wrist. “Hey…” “Good bye Crow, look after yourself. I’ll see you around.” She left me there. Sitting alone with my two cups of coffee and a frown. Chloe had totally blown me off. No one ever turned me down. Leaning back I watched as she sauntered off. She had an ass I wanted to bite. Round and full. And her turning me down had just sealed her fate. I wanted her even more now.
