After Minnie faded from the mirror, Sandy called the office to talk to Alex. He was answered by Brenda.
“Hi, Brenda, I was hoping to speak to Alex,” said Sandy.
Brenda laughed softly. “Mariam had a doctor’s checkup. Alex makes sure he is at each appointment. Mariam is over six months along in her pregnancy and Alex hasn’t missed an appointment. Any time she tells him he doesn’t have to go along, Alex reminds her it’s his baby, too. He says he wants to be there every step of the way. I am sure Mariam likes having him along. She just knows how busy he is, but when he insists, she just smiles, kisses him and lets him come along.”
Sandy laughed. “I can understand Alex’s feelings. I’ll call him later.”
“Is there anything I can help you with?” asked Brenda.
