CHAPTER 5
Albert Dolan left the Mase house and drove to a nearby corner store. He stopped and joined his brother-in-law in his car.
“What did you find out?” asked Larry Scott.
“The old lady would not talk to me. She would not let me enter the house,” admitted Albert.
“Why didn’t you force your way in and find the mirror?” asked Larry.
“Because she had two large guys there with her. I didn’t think I could get past them,” said Albert.
Larry looked at Albert and frowned. “I don’t know why I let Marie talk me into helping you find the mirror. There has got to be easier ways of getting cash,” stated Larry.
“If Selma has the mirror, it is worth a fortune. I sold the one I brought with me from Cendera for $25,000. Selma’s mother’s mirror was worth more. I would have taken it, but I couldn’
