The Affair

I watch as the man in front of me eyed me up and down biting his lips. I had no idea what he was thinking and I didn't think I needed to know what my boss was thinking of me it's best that I don't know. I finally find the strength to do something so I cleared my throat staring back at the man "Is there something you would like me to do sir?" I said he stared at me in annoyance leaning back in his chair " I get a new assistant every f*****g day, what's your motive" I hysterically rolled my eyes getting myself ready to answer this man "I want to help people, I want to make a change and I heard your company helps other people achieved this goal." "Yes sir who's asking" " I'm Mr. Payne's assistant and he asked me to call you to tell you to come to work tomorrow" "Tell Mr. Payne Monday wouldn't be a bad idea to come to work thank you" I hang up the phone laughing at myself for being so stupid.
