That cloak was really blocking my view.
We had been running around the mall all morning, and I had been asking her what she wanted. However, she merely nodded or gave me a small hum every time I asked. Whenever her cloak was not in place, her expressions were quite animated. However, with it, I couldn’t read her at all.
I didn’t know whether she liked the items I bought.
So, I just bought everything.
The sun was still high in the sky, and it wasn’t time for lunch just yet when we finished, so I wanted to look around more. However, she still didn’t ask for anything.
“Just try it on,” I insisted, looking at the green dress in her hands. “It would look good with your skin tone and eyes.”
