Jeremiah, Serena, and the others were dancing, partying, and enjoying themselves.A guy staring at Serena as she danced her heart out. After a while, Jeremiah started getting high. Serena also became dizzy and tired, so she told Jeremiah she would like to go home. Jeremiah, still having fun, told her to wait a minute. Serena went upstairs to wash her face because she felt tired. Unfortunately, she went into the wrong bathroom — the men bathroom. Suddenly, a guy named Frederick who has been watching her the whole time, entered and grabbed her by the hand. “Who is that? Leave me alone! Let go of me!” Serena said. Frederick was very drunk and tried to pull her with him. Just then, Jeremiah suddenly blasted the door open and punched Freddie in the face. Freddie fell to the ground with a sharp groan. Jeremiah gently picked Serena up, carried her outside to the motorcycle, and drove her home. He carefully slid her through her room door and laid her on the bed. As he was about to leave, Serena said softly, “Please don’t go. Stay with me a little longer.” Jeremiah felt confused, but he stayed. He tried to control himself and simply sat beside her as she rested on the bed. He stayed there quietly until morning. Around 5:00 a.m., Jeremiah had to leave before she wakes up, so he quietly got up and slipped out through the window. Later, Serena woke up around 7:30 a.m. She felt very thirsty because of the drinking the previous night. She reached for the water beside her table and drank it. After resting for about thirty minutes, she went downstairs. Everything seemed normal. She greeted her mother and father, who were on a video call. Her father was happy to see her and hear her voice. Then Serena went to the kitchen and started eating because she felt stressed and hungry. She ate a lot, which surprised her mother. After finishing her meal, she went back to her room and lay on her bed, thinking about everything that happened at the party. Suddenly she shouted, “Oh my gosh… does that mean—?” She paused. Then she walked to the window and saw Jeremiah standing outside, staring at her. She felt strange and a little embarrassed. After a moment, she waved at him. “Hi,” she said softly. Jeremiah smiled and waved back. “Hi.” And then I heard a scream: “Serena! Serena! Serena!” my mom shouted. I quickly closed my window and rushed downstairs. There was Frederick, kneeling and yelling that he was sorry. My mom looked completely amazed as Frederick apologized—she was lost for words. I acted as if I didn’t know what was going on. I told Frederick I have accepted his apology and that he could go. Before he left, he asked for my number, and I gave it to him while my mom stared at me with wide, shocked eyes. Finally, Frederick left, and my mom immediately began firing questions at me. “Well, Serena, why is he apologizing?” she asked. “Serena, where did you meet him? Who is this boy?” Her questions kept coming. I rushed upstairs, not wanting to say anything that might get me into trouble. Nina quietly went back to what she was doing, knowing fully well, she will get to the bottom of the matter eventually. I entered my room, silently praying my mom wouldn’t find out what had happened last night. My phone rang immediately—it was Frederick. I decided not to pick up.I continued the movie I was watching "The kissing booth".Then I decided to take a little nap. I woke up around 6 p.m. and realized I overslept, longer than I should have. I got up and went downstairs, surprisingly no one was at home,so I decided to throw the trash.Outside, I saw Jeremiah carrying his garbage bin. He came closer and asked, “Can I…? Can I take you to ice cream?” I couldn’t help it—I exclaimed, “Yes!”
