“You should have stopped me, Gus!” I wailed as if I was a child throwing tantrums.
Guess what?
I lost my bet. Not only that, my accessories were all gone. What a stupid girl I am. Why did I think that I would never lose? My entire life is full of unfortunate events yet I expected that luck would be on my side for consecutive times.
“I tried to stop you but you looked too happy. I could not ruin your happiness just because I was too nosy,” he said while rubbing his hair.
“What’s so good about being happy? I lost my earrings and also the coins I should have won! If you just stopped me the moment I won, we could have a good meal for today!” I shouted out of frustration.
