The Meeting

    Sid and Aakash reached the office and Sid went into the basement and from there he reached the end of the basement and pressed one button and one secret door opened and he entered inside and pressed another button and from there they took stairs to reach the top floor.

    "Sid, are you punishing me by making me climb these many stairs," asked Aakash panting.

    “No, we don’t have any other option than this to reach the father’s cabin, don’t worry you are going to become a doctor, you should know how to reduce your leg pains from now only, said Sid climbing stairs.

    After four flights of stairs, Aakash said, “I can’t climb more stairs and he stood there only taking long breaths.”

    "You come slowly, I will be waiting for you in the cabin," said Sid and started to climb the stairs and Aakash looked at him for some time and started to climb the stairs slowly.

    After they reached the cabin Aakash went near the system and tried a few passwords, till that time, Sid was going through the papers to find something helpful.

    Aakash shouted that he cracked the password and Sid ran towards him and saw the system was on and he sat on the chair and started to search for important documents and he got what he wanted and he took the printout of it and arose from the system and asked Aakash to shut it down and he went to the cupboard to take some files.

    Aakash was about to shut down the system, he saw one video file on the desktop and clicked on it. Sid, I think you need to watch this first.

    “I don’t have time Aakash, we can take care of it later, you just shut it down,” as he was busy searching the file.  

    Sid, I really think you should watch it first, as this video was made by your father. He wants to say something to you through this video.

    Sid came near the system and looked at the Video. His father was standing and looking at the Camera and with the surroundings he can easily identify that it was made in this cabin only. He pressed the on button and his father started talking.

    “My boy, I know you will crackdown the password of this system with the help of your dear friend. If you have come this long way and on my system means that they have already implemented their plan.”

    His father sat on the chair and looked at the camera for some time and said, “Sid, take care of your mother, she is very naive, she can’t survive in this cruel world without your help.”

    Sid, I know you might be thinking why I made this video, but I have to tell you something very important, which I was not able to tell you at home and I am not sure if I will reach home today or not. I started this company when I was just 20, for me it is my family and for others, this is a money-making machine. I started this company with the help of my partner. I gave him only 15% of the shares of this company, but later he bought the shares from others and became a 45% shareholder of this company.

    I am not complaining about him or saying his intentions were wrong, but he disappeared a few months ago. He said he was going on a holiday trip to Malaysia, after that he didn’t return. I appointed PI to search for him and I came to know two to three days ago that he was killed.

    Aakash did his work and came and stood behind Sid and started reading along with him. 

    After some time Sid closed the file and started smiling and said, “I am coming Mr. Pathak.” and looked at Aakash and said, “find out about Pathak’s family and inform me within one hour, I am on his way to meet him.” 

        Aakash looked at him angrily and asked, “why do you use me for these type of works, can’t you give me any other good work?”

    I think I invested my money in this course only for you. Don’t you want to repay it back?

    Repay... My foot, if I get caught, I will spend my whole life in jail.

    “We will think about it later, you have only half an hour to get the details and I have to do one more work before meeting Mr. Pathak,” said Sid going towards the door.

    Aakash searched for his iPad in the bag, which was gifted to him by Sid on his birthday, which he has hidden from everyone.

    Sid went to meet Vardhan, who was busy taking printouts for the meeting. Today, he is working from home, so that nobody can doubt his involvement in all these happenings. Sid rang the doorbell and waited for him to open the door. As soon as Vardhan opened the door, Sid came inside the house forcibly and made himself comfortable on the couch.

    “Sid, what are you doing here? Don’t you have school?” asked Vardhan looking at him angrily.

    “We should talk. I think it is more important than my studies. Can you take the seat, feel like it is your own house only,” said Sid showing him the couch.    Sid, it is my house, now tell me what do you want to say?

    "The person who is going to be nominated as the CEO is Mr. Pathak, am I right?” asked Sid looking into his eyes dangerously.

    “How do you know?” Vardhan asked gulping his saliva.  

    My father used to share everything with me, how he killed his own son to become the CEO of this company.

    Nothing like that happened Sid, he loves his son a lot and he wants to take that position just to protect the company.

    What will be your position after he takes that position?

    Sid, I am just a marketing head, what position I will get.

    I will become the head of all departments and he will take care of all the meetings.

    Sid came out of the Vardhan’s house and started towards Pathak’s house when the phone rang and he without looking at the caller received the call as he knew who can call him at this time.

    Sid, Mr. Pathak has one son and one daughter, one daughter is in love with one clerk and Mr. Pathak is against their love and his son is in Australia, doing his MBA final year.

    Aakash, Mr. Pathak’s son already died, I mean killed. Father informed us in the video, right.

    He is not his son, he is his nephew. After the death of his parents, he adopted his nephew and nobody knows that he is not his son.

    “Sid..today I understood how dangerous the friendship with rich and ruthless people like you can be,” thought Aakash and went towards the secluded place.

    Mr. Pathak was in his study room when his maid came and informed him that somebody wants to meet him. He thought for some time and thinking it could be Vardhan, he asked the maid to bring the person to the study room.

    “Good afternoon Mr. Pathak, how are you?” Asked Sid entering his study room.

    Sid..good to see you boy. How are you?

    I am fine, hope you are also doing fine, but after talking with me, you won’t feel good.

    What do you want to talk about with me?

    Suraj, partner of our company, who was killed a few months ago.

    Yes, he was my son. He was not killed, he died due to a sudden heart attack.

    Mr. Pathak dialed Vardhan's number and waited for him to pick his call, but the ring was going on, but there was no response, so he dialed again, but he didn't pick.

    Mr. Pathak, I think he didn't like your offer.

    Sid, you think you are smart, but I am in business for the past 30 years and I do everything with backup plans. Mr. Vardhan can ignore me, but not others. They will all vote in favor of me.

    Sid was on his way to the office when his phone rang, it was Vardhan.

    “Sid, I am with you, hope you don't forget your offer,” said Vardhan.

    Sid smiled and disconnected the call. He reached near the office and saw Aakash was waiting for him in the waiting room.

    "Sid, these are the bank statements of Mr. Pathak and these are the numbers who are working for him. Mr. Pathak only killed your father and I think he killed his nephew as well," said Aakash giving him some documents.

    "Thank you buddy; you helped me a lot today; I think you should leave now before anybody sees you," said Sid.

    "I will meet you tomorrow morning at your house, take care, bye," said Aakash and went towards the exit.

    Sid reached his mother's cabin and she was sitting looking outside the window.

    Mom, don't you have any work? Why are you sitting idle?

    Sid, I think we are going to lose everything, they said, I don't have any work to do in the office.

    Don't you think it is our office and you have to give orders to others and not listen to others?

    Umm..there is a meeting, but till now I don't know anything about the meeting, I just know that Pathak is going to take over the company and they said he will take care of the company till you complete your studies.

    Did they give you any documents to sign?

    No...

    Mom, I am hungry, can you order something for me please, and what about you? Did you eat anything?

    She had tears in her eyes, Sid, what if something goes wrong and we lose your father's dream?

    "Mom, stop crying," he said wiping her tears, I am hungry, we can think about it later, please...

    She pressed the button and when the assistant came in, she ordered sandwiches for both of them. 

    Sid, you know your father always used to discuss his business details with me, but I never used to concentrate on it, today, I am thinking if I would have concentrated on his words at that time, the things would have been different now.

    They both ate sandwiches and waited for the meeting. Vardhan came and informed that everybody is waiting in the meeting room.

    Sid arose from his seat and went to his mother, she was sweating profusely, as she was afraid of the meeting. Sid side hugged her and confronted her, "mom, nothing will happen, trust me, it is my father's dream, and I won't let anybody to take it."
