My Husband's Dream

    Sid and Nandini reached the Conference Hall, which is now their meeting room and as soon as Nandini saw so many people, she started panicking and caught Sid’s hand very tightly. Sid looking at his mother’s condition held her tightly and took her to the seat and made her sit on the chair and sat beside her.

    All greeted her in unison, Good afternoon, Mrs. Raichand and she replied to them with a smile and looked at Sid, who was looking confident and he was looking at the door like he was waiting for someone very important.

    Vardhan and Mr. Pathak came inside and locked the door. They both greeted Nandhini and then other members and looked at Sid and came and sat on their seats. Vardhan came near Nandini and kept some documents in front of her for signing and went to take his seat.

    Mr. Pathak stood up and looked at Nandini and said, “Mrs. Raichand, it is just a power of attorney document, you can sign on it, there won’t be any problem in the future. After Siddharth completes his studies and returns, this company will be handed over to him. With the signature, you are just agreeing that you are giving me the power to run the company and attend the meetings on behalf of this company.”

        Sid stood up and looked at Mr. Pathak and asked, “Mr. Pathak, we want to read the documents before signing and I think it will take at least 3 to 4 hours to read all these documents, can we postpone the meeting for tomorrow?”

    I already told you what is written on it, then what is the need to read it again, see these people have already read half of the documents till now and I don’t think they have found anything suspicious in it.

    Anyway, can these people give their introductions, as me and Mrs. Nandini Raichand don’t know who they are and what they are doing in this personal board meeting of the shareholders?

    Sid, these are shareholders of this company and they came here to vote, as they have bought shares of our company, they have got the right to vote.

    I just want to know their names and how much percentage of shares they are holding with them. I don’t think they will have any problem in revealing that. Everybody remained silent for some time, and Sid again asked Mr. Pathak to ask them to give their introduction.

    Sid, here cameras are there, they don’t want others to know that they are shareholders of this company, they are maintaining confidentiality.

    Sid arose from his seat and said, “I have called the police and they can reach here anytime, the door is in that way, if you don’t have a share certificate with you, you can leave now, otherwise, you will be arrested for cheating Mrs. Nandini Raichand and I will make sure that you will be charged with my father’s murder as well, rest you decide what you want to do,” and sat on his seat. Nandini looked at her son with disbelief; but, was not able to utter a single word.

        Mr. Pathak was shocked to know Sid had called the police, but composed himself and said, “they are not present shareholders, they bought the shares, but they sold them to my son, but they want to help me in running the company as it is in huge losses. As they are friends with your father and my son Suraj, they came here to support the company.”

    I don’t see my company in losses and I don’t want their support for my company as well and if they don’t leave the hall now, then I will have to call the security to throw them out.

    Sid, remember you are playing with the fire. You can’t throw them out, they came here to support me.

    “If you are correct and really having good intentions, do you really need their support?” asked Sid looking into his eyes.

    Coming to the point, Mrs. Raichand please sign the papers and finish this off, we can’t tolerate the nonsense of your son anymore.

    Nandini looked at Mr. Pathak and looked at the documents for some time and said, “Mr. Pathak, if my son looks like nonsense to you, then I don’t think I can sign these papers. If you can’t accept the future owner of this company being bold, then how can you run this company. I will sign the documents after my son agrees to give this company to you, otherwise, let the company run as it is running. I don’t care about losses."

    Mr. Pathak got angry with her answer and arose from his seat, you both think we will sit and watch the company drowning. Don’t you both have brains, sign it now, otherwise, I know how to take it in my way. 

     “Will you kill both of us, like you killed my father?” asked Sid smirking.

    Sid..don’t talk rubbish without any proof, you can’t prove anything, so just shut your mouth and ask your mother to sign the papers.

    What if I say no? What if I say I have proof? What if I say you are not related to this company in any way?

    These are the share certificates, which are in my name. As soon as my son died, I automatically became the owner of his property and whatever belongs to him. They were transferred on my name when your father was alive and look at this, it has his signature.

      Someone knocked on the door and Sid asked them to come in and the assistant came in and informed Sid that Williams is waiting outside to meet him. Sid looked at him and said, “ask him to come in exactly after 10 minutes.” 

    I think first we should complete our work before calling in someone else.

    Ummm...actually, I don’t see any work here, Mr. Pathak, because the share certificates can’t be transferred on anybody’s name without the signature of both the partners. When your son was alive, he bought those certificates and both my dad and your son’s signatures were there, but on your certificate, only my father’s signature is there.

    What do you want me to do? Shall I go to my dead son and bring his signatures?

    You said you are doing business for so many years, then how can you forget the documents, don’t you think the partners may have made some documents so that no disputes arise in the future?

    Suraj didn’t tell me about any such document and how come it will matter now when both the partners are dead.

    Vardhan can you pass this document to Mr. Pathak? Mr. Pathak, first you read this document, then you will know everything, and if you want me to tell you what is in it, then I will be happy to tell you as well as the others who are sitting here to support you.

    Nandini was looking at them, she is not understanding anything, she has become just an audience to their word war.

    I am not interested in reading any documents now, I don’t think anything matters at this time.

    Sid started laughing...everybody looked at him with a surprised expression like why he is laughing at this situation. Sid controlled his laughter and told, “according to this document, after the death of any of the partner, other partner or should I say my father doesn’t have the authority to sell or transfer the shares on other’s name without the signature of Siddharth Raichand or Mrs. Nandini Raichand, if the document doesn’t possess their signature, then the document will become invalid.” and this condition was made particularly by your son Mr. Suraj Pathak.

    This is all rubbish, I think you created this document to play all this game.

    “I think you have all these company documents with you, why don’t you check it, you have the option of proving me wrong,” said Sid and Mr. Pathak opened the file and started to search for the documents and he found the document and looked at Sid and tore and threw away the document.

    Mr. Pathak, don’t worry about that document. Anyway, the police are on their way as Wills had a gift for you. I was just doing a time pass with you, as the police had already reached the office, we will come to the point. The door opened and Williams came in holding one man.

    Mr. Pathak looked at the person and he started sweating and all the colors drained from his face. He looked at Sid. Nandini looked at Williams, not understanding whom he brought when the meeting was going on. She was about to say something to him but stopped when she looked at Mr. Pathak’s face.

    "Do you want to say anything, Mr. Pathak? I think you would prove yourselves as innocent in the court of law, but now you will be going with your friend to jail," said Sid, and the police arrived.

    The Police came inside and came near Mr. Pathak, he was not able to say anything, as if something was stuck in his throat. He looked at Sid with anger. Inspector asked him to come along with them and Mr. Pathak looked at Sid and said, “don’t forget your mother will be alone when you go for your higher studies to the foreign country.”

    Sid started laughing and said, “I can protect my mother, you don’t worry about her, you just worry about yourselves.”   

    After Mr. Pathak was taken away, all others also left the meeting room, and only Sid, Nandini, and Vardhan were left as Williams went outside with some other work. Nandini stood up and looked at her son and he said, “Mom, we will take care of the business, don’t worry about it.”

    Vardhan came near him and asked, “what about my offer?”

    Sid looked at her mother and said, “Why don’t you go home and take some rest? We will meet during dinner time.”

    She smiled and said, “I will be waiting for you” and left from there.

    "Vardhan let’s go out and talk, cameras are there," said Sid, and took him to the basement where Williams was waiting for them. As soon as they arrived Williams came and caught Vardhan and took him to the hidden room and tied him to the chair. Vardhan tried to protest, but before Williams' strength, he was nothing.

    Sid, what are you doing? You promised me that you will give me a better position if I will support you.

    Sid came and sat in front of him, “Did you really support me? In what way? You brought and kept the documents in front of my mother to sign.”

    But I didn’t talk when Mr. Pathak was saying something.

    But you didn’t say anything in favor of me as well.

    Sid, listen to me, I am a very useful person to you, I will be like your dog, whatever you will say I will do.

    Okay, if you will tell me everything, which I will ask you now, without hiding a single word, I will definitely think about it.

    Vardhan looked at Williams and he went to the cupboard and opened it and brought a knife and stood beside Vardhan. Vardhan gulped seeing the knife in his hand. Sid looked at him and asked, “how much Mr. Pathak offered you for helping him in killing my father.”

    Sid, your father was my friend as well and why do you think I will kill or support anybody in killing my best friend. Sid turned to Williams and he cut the little finger of Vardhan and he cried in pain. Sid..he offered me one crore and I was in urgent need of that money, so I accepted it. Sid, again looked at Williams and he cut the ring finger this time and Vardhan cried in pain and said, Sid, what do you want to know, I will tell you everything, please take me to the hospital, I will die with pain.

    Mr. Pathak offered you two crores and one full floor in the shopping mall for the sale of imported clothes, which you signed the deal yesterday, but what you did, you ditched him for the position I offered to you and you want me to rely on you.

    "Wills, I don’t want to listen to his voice anymore, kill him and bury him in the backyard of Pathak’s house," said Sid.

    "Sid, you can’t do this to me, you can’t kill me. Sid, I am your father’s friend, he was shouting," but Williams took his gun and shot on his head and he was dead in no time. After listening to the gunshot sound Sid went away from there.

    He reached his house and saw that his mother was waiting for him. He went to his room and freshened up and came to his mother and hugged her tightly. She smiled and caught his hand and made him sit beside him.

    “You know Sid, your father always used to say, I should not worry about you as you are more mature than me and today you proved him right and I am very proud of you,’ said Nandini putting her hand on his cheek.

    I will be always with you mom, but you have to learn how to deal with persons or business associates. I will train you everything, but, promise me you will learn everything and won’t be careless like before.

    I will learn everything Sid, it is my husband’s dream, I will take care of it like he did, till you take responsibility for it. I promise I will never be careless about the business.

    “You are my good mom,” he said and kissed her forehead. “I am hungry, can we have dinner, and what is the plan for tomorrow?” he asked looking at the empty table.

    Wait, first I will arrange the table, we can both have dinner and then we can talk, she said and went to the kitchen and in no time she arranged the dishes on the table and sat beside Sid. She served him food and served for herself. Sid was eating hurriedly as he did a lot of work from the morning and he ate only one sandwich in the middle.

    “Sid, eat slowly, why are you rushing,” she asked looking at him.

    He stopped and looked at his mother and slowed down and said, “tomorrow there is a meeting in the afternoon with the clients and you are going to deal with the clients and I will give you the file so that you prepare for the meeting. You can read the file in the night and if you have any doubt, you can clarify with me in the morning as I will not be available after that. I have school to attend as I missed a lot of classes and you know that I guess.”

    Yes, I got a call from your principal today morning only. I told him to mark as a present for you, whether you are present or not, otherwise, we can stop the charity at any time and he agreed to it without any further talk.

    Umm..you are becoming smarter day by day, Mrs. Raichand. Hope you will reach new heights in a few years and one day you become the businesswoman of the year.

    I don’t want any of those, I just want your happiness and welfare of this company and go and get the file, I will r******w only and aren’t there any chances that you can take one more leave from your school?

    "Wait, I will bring the file," he said and went inside and brought the file and handed it over to his mother and said, "no...I am not going to do that and you are going to take care of the meeting and Wills will be there with you." 

    She gave a sad expression and went into her room with the file.
