CHAPTER 5: SECRETS & CONDITIONS

It was Monday, finally a fresh week, Lily thought as she stared out of the window through her loft apartment. It also marked a week till she’s Sebastian’s contract girlfriend. He had mentioned that he would brief her at work concerning the contract today.

What could the contract, possibly contain, she thought, as she stressed over the thought of it. She got up to resume her normal daily routine which involved first making a cup of coffee, then rushing to dress for work. She packed her hair in a cute low bun style, rushed off to catch a cab.

Sebastian wasn’t at work yet as usual, so she went ahead to order his morning coffee alongside a breakfast order of bacon, eggs and bagels. Once the order arrived she went downstairs to pay, as she was going back up through the elevator, a woman followed in, she seemed a bit older than her, but extremely sexy, her short black hair cut into a cute bob, her boobs could be seen perking its way through her half buttoned white shirt, her short brown skirt, revealing legs for days, alongside her nude colored heels

Their shoulders brazed each other as she walked into the elevator, she was going to the same floor as Lily. Once it opened up, the lady walked straight to Sebastian’s office like they were acquainted, Lily hurriedly followed up behind her

“Hi, excuse me are you looking for someone?”

She turns around, giving Lily a very irritated look, “and you are?”

“oh I’m Lily, personal assistant of CEO, Sebastian Knight”

“Interesting, in that case you should know his whereabouts”. She casually takes a seat against his table and crosses her legs as if to mark territory, and folds her arms across her chest, revealing the fullness of her breasts even more, “except, let me guess, the very famous Sebastian is now slacking on his official duties”

“I can assure you he’s not. In fact, he’s currently attending a meeting outside the company. He would be arriving later on in the day, so I would advise you not to waste your time waiting for him, you could just drop off your name and I could let him know you were here.

Shit! why did I impulsively lie to her, what if she’s one of his business associates, but would she be dressed in that manner if she was into business?, what if Sebastian comes in early today, what if he bursts through those doors right now?, what if she decides to wait for him and he comes in early?

“Hmmm, alright then, I’ll be back, tell him Molly stopped over and that he can’t run forever”

With that she left in a hurry. Molly? Hmmm...

Lily heads over to her desk, a small office just outside Sebastian’s office. While attempting to tend to some early morning paper work, the elevator doors opened and he walked out, his charming presence filling the entire room, he walked with so much grace and audacity, it made heads turn.

“If only I could just spend one night in Sebastian Knight’s bed, ughhhh!, my life would never remain the same”, Grace said drooling as she stared at him while trying to use the printer on Lily’s desk,

“Your life truly won’t be the same, that’s for sure”, Lily responds sarcastically, while she typed away.

“I mean look at his hair, I wonder what it smells like, a girl can only dream. Wonder who his new girlfriend is, do you think it was that girl that came around this morning? She definitely looks like his spec”,

Lily just continued working on her system while Grace ranted on

“I still don’t know why you’re not even in the slightest bit intrigued by him, I mean look at him, have you seen that jaw line?, and those eyes. He definitely still works out, I mean those shirts can’t keep those muscles locked in” she continued as she stared at him, while he kept talking to the tech guys at the elevator.

“Grace, he’s just like every other guy, arrogant and rude, who would walk in and out of your life whenever they deem fit, especially when you politely turn down a date that you had a perfectly good reason as to why you did that. So fine face or not, it doesn’t even matter, they’re all the same” Lily says with a frown spread across her face.

Grace looked at her smiling “seems like someone isn’t over Mark-Tinder, the runaway”

“I mean I know I turned down our first date because of Mr. arrogant here, but we were really hitting it on, I mean our conversations were the best, I didn’t even get a call back, I mean didn’t I at least deserve that? Oh well it doesn’t even matter and I don’t even care, I’m going to delete the app anyway” Lily said with a bit of anger.

“You’re going to what? ....”

“Lily, meet me in my office now!” Sebastian says as he walks past them and straight into his office.

“Wish I were you right now”, Grace said as she left her desk.

Meanwhile in the office, Sebastian leaned back in his luxurious office chair, a sly grin playing on his lips. He only ever had that look when it was a Friday night and he was expecting a lady.

“Lily I hope you’re aware that playing my girlfriend involves a certain level of commitment. You’ll need to be convincing, at least to a large extent”

Lily, standing across the desk, raised an eyebrow. "Convincing, yes but I won't be morphing into your dream girlfriend, Mr. Knight we’ll at least be keeping it professional."

Sebastian chuckled, the arrogance in his eyes undeterred. "Professional, of course. But let's not forget the romantic touch. A peck on the cheek here, an arm around my waist there – you get the picture."

Lily crossed her arms, un-amused. "I'll consider it within the boundaries of decency, Mr. Knight. No excessive PDA."

Sebastian leaned forward, his eyes locking onto hers with an arrogant intensity. "Decency is subjective, Lily. We're selling a story, and it needs to be captivating. You'd only be doing these things when we're around family, once we're away from their peering eyes, we could go back to being professionals," he says sternly.

Lily maintained her composure. "Captivating, not compromising I won't be part of anything that disrespects either of us."

"You're a tough negotiator, Lily. But I'm not here to negotiate I'm paying you for this, besides there's more. We'll be sharing a room during the vacation."
