Scarlett blinked her eyes open, adjusting to the light in the room as her vision was still a little blurry. The faint scent of roses lingered in the air, and she realized she was back in her room. A maid was seated by her bedside, a damp cloth in hand, dabbing her forehead. "What happened?" Scarlett mumbled, her voice weak and shaky. The maid straightened up and offered a soft smile.
