Raine’s POV
Lucian grabbed a torch from the wall and lit it with one clean sweep of his hand. The flame caught instantly, bathing the room in an eerie orange glow that danced across the cold, silver chains. He turned toward me then, his shadow stretching long and sharp across the stone. With a low click, the heavy door slammed shut behind him.
He looked calm....too calm. “You must leave if you can’t tame me again like the last time,” he said, voice steady but laced with something darker. “I won’t risk your life if it happens again.”
