The Fated Mates

Selena watched as the world she helped create was falling apart in front of her eyes. The creatures that had all lived in peace were now at war with each other. She watched as the packs she had so carefully created and formed were dying before her eyes. The vampires, fairies, dragons, witches, and werewolves had all fallen into a toxic war after the high alpha, dragon king, leader supreme, fairy queen, and vampire queen were all slain at a meeting. Each of the races had felt the loss, feeling how everything started to fall apart. All the races had meet at the coucil meeting site, finding nothing put the heads of their leaders seated on the table. It was in that moment that everything feel apart. People died in waves as the war began to take hold over everything. Selena had screamed out in pain and anger as everything she loved so much died, and it wasn't long before she heard a loud roar and a thud behind her. She knew before turning around that Zorquan was there. "How did this happen?", she demanded. "Humans. They just can't feel safe in a world of beasts. Instead of reasoning between themselves they all went to war. No one believed the others were innocent.", Selena sighed. "This is the beginning of the end.", the dragon said sadly. "It is indeed my dear friend.", Selena replied. And thus the war between the races raged on for over a millennia. As the Goddesses continued to watch their race die their sadness grew. They finally realized that this war was only going to stop when everyone was dead. "We need to stop this.", Selena announced. "We cannot get involved in this.", Zorquan replied, knowing they would be slain in the chaos. "There is something we can do. We need to bring them together. It would be a first, but we need the races between us to be mated.", the Moon Goddess said. "A dragon and a wolf could bring everyone together. It would be hard for them to fight the bond between them. It may just work.", the dragon agreed. "We need to get this started quickly. Even though we still have to wait 17 years before their bond hits them.", the two said together.
