The Black Dragon

Leynox watched as the wolf crossed into the NightGloom packs' territory. He growled in frustration as they got away from him into the one place he couldn't fly or step foot into. There was a force field that somehow kept dragons out that protected this land. There was no way for him or anyone else of his kind to get inside. He hovered in place, watching as the wolf he had been chasing fell to the ground, her wounds bleeding, and the child that had clung to its back hid behind it as a grey and blonde colored wolf stopped next to the body. The dragon part of him started to go mad over this new wolf, and got more out of control as it shifted back into human form. The girl had tan skin, deep black hair, and had a curvier body than most she-wolves had. 'Fated', his dragon Ren said loudly. 'There is no way we are fated with a wolf.', Leynox hissed. 'Even you can feel that tug kid. She is ours.', Ren replied smuggly. He watched for another couple of seconds before taking off into the sky, flying back towards his home. His thoughts kept coming back to that werewolf no matter how much he tried not to think about her. The war between their kinds had been raging on for a long long time, wiping out his whole family. Leynox could still remember the day his parents and older sister were slain by wolves. He could hear their screams from inside their own house and peeking out if his room to see five wolves ripping off their heads. Even just at the age of 16 he had gotten his dragon, since he came from the royal dragon bloodline, and Ren kept him quiet and hidden until he knew the wolves were gone. Once he was alone he ran down the stairs to find nothing of his family other than blood all over the living room and kitchen. That was the day he had vowed to Zorquan that he would wipe the werewolves from the earth. They had taken everything he had held dear to him, and he was going to make them pay. But after seeing her his heart hurt to think about killing her. Even though he had only caught one sighting of her he knew Ren would allow no harm to come to her. It wasn't long before he had gotten back to his home, that was hidden deep within a Louisiana forest. The simple log cabin had been his home since he had found it nearly four years prior, two years after his family was taken from him. Leynox shifted back into his human form after landing and opened the door. The smell of leather and fire smoke filled his nose as he stepped inside. Two smells he could always count on to help relieve any stress he felt. Leynox sighed as he sank into the couch, no longer angry at the wolves he had lost. His mind was set on trying to find out everything there was about that she-wolf.
