MARIA'S POV "I can't believe him," I muttered to myself in anger as I walked back into the center of the room. Anger welled inside of me as I thought about Connor's confidence after what he did. I walked up to the mirror and dried my body with the towel, but then in the process of drying my body, I began to think about what Connor was talking about concerning a message he received and the threat. "Huh, he thinks he can fool me again?" I thought in my head. I didn't expect him to lie to me about that video, but he did and it made it really difficult for me to trust him ever again. But even as I tried to dismiss the thoughts from my head, it still popped up over and over again, making me ponder deeply on what he said about a threat involving the two of us and the message he received.
