Chapter 9They had been driving for six hours when Chatham pulled the car behind the large billboard. He had spotted a small neighborhood that was still under construction full of cookie cutter tract homes. The neighborhood was called “Cuesta Estates” on the huge billboard that Chatham had just pulled behind. The car would not be spotted there overnight.
They still had about four more hours of driving to get to Graves’ house, but they both needed rest. Besides, Chatham felt it would be better for them if they didn’t show up at Graves’ house at night when he would have more strength. From what they had gathered, a man that paranoid would be harder to get to at night because he would be locked inside his fortress of a house. Their best bet was to attempt to grab him when he was moving around
