Chapter 10Standish’s house looked different somehow. Being there in the bright light of day, knowing what they knew now, made his house seem like an impenetrable fortress. When he saw them he would probably figure out that they had escaped the clutches of his henchman that he sent, but Shirley was hoping they could trick him into letting down his guard.
