Paying The Price

Chapter 3

I was now laying flat on the couch and he was hovering above me when the door suddenly opened and Mr Hart the landlord walked inside.

"Max leave this place" he said. Max stood up and walked away with a very sick annoying smirk on his face like he had achieved something

'Thank God you came here Mr Hart you won't believe what Max was about..." I was saying when he cut me of

"Kiara I can't believe you tried to seduce my son again" Mr Hart said

What?! Me? Seduce your son? Again? What are you talking about ? I asked him

"Kiara I can't believe you will stoop so low just because you dont want to pay your house rent. Max told me about how you tried to seduce him when he came to tell you that your rent was due. I am sorry Kiara but you have to leave my house this moment" he said and walked away not even looking back.

I sat down on the couch and started laughing hysterically. What The f**k just happened? Did my landlord's son just try to r**e me, then my landlord indirectly called me a prostitute and tell me to leave his house now I am homeless.

Okay I am no longer finding this funny. I walked to my landlord's apartment and knocked on the door ready to fight with him about he just said.

The door immediately opened and i was shocked by who I saw right at the door and he also looked shocked.

"Hey are you the one responsible for all this? Meeting you is nothing but bad luck"

"Is she the one you were talking about Mr Hart" he asked and i turned to see my landlord nod with his his head when bad luck suddenly said "good then i will no longer change my mind about buying the house because I am paying for it right now"

So you are i***t that wants to buy it, how much more stupid can you be huh? What would you want to do with such a place I said. I heard gasp around and i looked around and noticed a group of bouncers around him

"You will re..." he said before i cut him of saying "yeah yeah I get it I will regret ever saying that to you, worry less because I already regret meeting you bad luck". I hissed and walked away.

"Kiara what have you done, you could have just begged him to let you to stay in the house" I thought to myself.

I got to my department and decided to call Nina. I explained everything to her and she laughed at first and told me that I am doomed.

"You seriously don't know who he is?" She asked. She was about to explain to me when I suddenly checked the time and saw that it was 5:30.

Wait! I am supposed to be at Mrs Nelsons house doing things related to cleaning one hour thirty minute ago. I cut the call on her and immediately ran to her house which was two apartments farther than mine.

"Hi Mrs Nelson, sorry i am late something came up" I said. 'Kiara that is what you always say everyday' she said.

She's right I was always late but today something really came up. I tried to explain to her but she said "Kiara I was pregnant when I hired you but now i have delivered and i can now go back to doing the works so you don't have to keep coming here. Rest assured I will pay you your salary for your work".

She slammed the door on my face when I suddenly shouted" hey it is not right to slam the door on people's faces". I wanted to knock again but stopped when her dog suddenly started barking. I was never a fan of dogs so I ran from there.

If someone was to ask me how was your day I'd certainly tell that it was horrible. I got fired from two jobs in just one day because of my mouth.

I walked back home to prepare to go to the bar and i hope i don't get fired again
