"Ahh, it still hurts, even though I've been sitting there for hours!"
Several people stared in wonder at the girl who had just emerged from one of the toilet cubicles, rebuking her for her bad luck. But after a few seconds, they refocused ahead and didn't care.
The girl passed them while groaning, holding her stomach which still felt uncomfortable. Now and then she glanced at the watch, she was really late now.
Arriving in a room, the class was initially loud talking about their respective topics and was silent. All the occupants shot the girl whose full name was Laura Ainsley, who walked calmly.
"Huh, you didn't take the lottery number?" someone asked showing a small roll of paper between her fingers.
With a frown, Laura walked backward, at first she would sit down in a chair but had to go back to the teacher's desk to get a pile of paper.
Everyone was silent, including Agnes, the class president and Laura's best friend.
After picking up the paper which was indeed the remaining one, she hurriedly sat down, otherwise an unpleasant-smelling gas would be emitted. It must have ruined her image in front of her classmates.
"Looks like you're unlucky today," Agnes muttered, looking at the girl sadly.
There was a group assignment from the Biology teacher and their homeroom teacher, then Agnes suggested that the distribution be done by drawing lots like the social gathering.
Doing that is not without purpose. She would mark one pair of papers to give to the boy in the corner, then another depending on who was late.
Regretfully, if she had known Laura wasn't in class at the paper pick-up time, she wouldn't have done so. It's like giving one's own brother a lion's meal.
"Sorry, I really thought you were in class because usually it's never late." Agnes sighed, truly regretful.
Laura snorted in annoyance. "Cuh. Should've fetched one number for me, don't let the last one be like this..."
"Laura! Agnes!” A man with minus glasses shouted the names of the students.
Coincidentally, it was break time, and the two friends were on their way to the canteen behind the school. David stood in place (the office doorway), letting the students who came to him.
"What's the matter, sir?"
"You've got an explanation about the task this time, right?"
"Yeah..." Laura said lazily.
David glanced at the paper in her hand and smiled crookedly. “I was surprised when I found out that you and Iaoel were in the same group. Please be patient, yes, Ra. Good luck!"
After flashing a smile he went into the office, leaving the girl who was now in a state of annoyance. Obviously to her, it was a mockery.
Everyone knows that the man David mentioned can only lie down and have no interest in doing anything.
It's obvious, isn't it? Anyone who dealt with him would be in trouble. Doing the task alone, but the value is divided by two? Sickening.
"If I could swap partners, I wouldn't want to be with Winter Bear."
Winter Bear is the nickname for the student.
She kept saying those words until they sat on the cafeteria bench with a plate of spaghetti and other types of food on their respective tables.
Lazy, but has a cold and sharp gaze, simultaneously unpredictable. Making people shy, choosing to keep their distance from the shoulder-length curly-haired man.
Don't ask what Iaoel's face looks like, when he lifts his head, one can only focus on his brown irises, then look away as if he's just seen something unseemly.
"Never mind, I'm getting uncomfortable... why am I still at school when there is no enthusiasm!" Agnes said, her appetite suddenly disappeared.
Laura prepared to answer her best friend's chatter, but the figure on the other end managed to keep her mouth shut.
So Agnes was surprised by the change in the girl's attitude on the side, then looked ahead before directing her eyes to the plate of super delicious spaghetti.
Ah, she finally knew why Laura was suddenly silent.
“Why is he here? Usually always sleeps in class until the home bell rings.” Agnes was restless, whispered to Laura.
They put their palms on their foreheads as if sheltering from the sun. At Laura's suggestion, they pretended not to see the person and continued eating.
Hope he gets bored and leaves from there.
However, it is not that easy. An Iaoel's way of thinking was different from people's. Making Laura curse, the man was more stupid for choosing to wait there, standing without moving an inch.
Even the two girls hesitated. Iaoel blinked, not even being seen, it was very clear that a sharp gaze was intimidating them.
Don't know how long Laura and Agnes couldn't take it anymore.
“Nes, are you doing your homework tomorrow or today?” whispered Laura.
"Of course, today, tomorrow it has been collected!"
The statement from Agnes immediately made Laura gasp, even though it was clear that tomorrow was a red day. She planned to invite Agnes's group of friends to work together, so there was no need to deal with the man.
But why hasn't the opportunity been on her side yet?
She could not work on the fieldwork from afternoon to evening, then be collected tomorrow on Sunday. Intended to complain, but Laura chose to surrender.
After all, getting high marks is not the goal. The important thing is to pass. She will arrive at a plan to live as wealthy unemployed with only one semester left. Never thought I'd go through something like this. Her life is not as smooth as the toll road.
She only needed a diploma, then married the boss of the big company where her father worked. OK. Like that, Laura just needed to believe that the life plan would not deviate.
"I can't give up because I will soon live in a big house!" While getting up from the seat, Agnes nervously matched her pace.
Sure enough, wherever they went, the man would follow at a regular distance, 5 meters.
Unable to stand it anymore, Agnes reasoned that she wanted to go to the toilet to avoid the horrible stares behind her. She was lucky because Iaoel's target was Laura alone.
Her little heart suddenly couldn't bear to leave the girl alone, she quietly followed until they arrived at the library.
Curious, what's wrong with Iaoel? Why does he always sleep in class and the teacher leaves him alone, who dares to reprimand him will shrink in the next second. How great is that look?
"Could it be... he's a magician?" Laura muttered taking a book she thought was attractive, then looking for an empty table to read the book in her hand.
After this empty schedule, the teacher who teaches on maternity leave has no substitute. Making it more flexible in finding materials for this task, relaxing, she thought.
She dissolved into the characters on the old paper, reading it without pause. Follow the plot as if carried away by the story. The chair beside creaked. Unbeknownst to Laura, someone had sat there.
Touching thin hair strands in the temple area to keep objects that block the view. Until the girl gasped and immediately panicked to her feet, her back hit a flower pot stuck to the wall.
"You ...!"
