Hanaan Pov I want to sleep more but this beeping sound is not allowing me to sleep, where is this sound coming from because I know I never owned an alarm clock and is because of the annoying sound it always makes. I blink my eyes open but have to close it immediately because I am welcome with a blinding light. I really don't know why my sister always leave my room light on although she has been warned countless of times by me but she never listened. Apparently, I have to shut this sound off because it is still making that annoying sound which is giving me a headache I lifted my hand up but to my surprise I notice I can't move my hand and all other parts of my body except my eyes which is now open in panic, that's when I notice am not in my room but in a white painted room which as a resemblance with a hospital room. I start to struggle with a weird noise coming out of my mouth, I can't call out because my throat feels raw as if have been screaming for a very long time. I hear a loud gasp and I try to search for the source of the sound but my vision is block by my mom with a red and puffed eye like she has been crying for a while now, I sigh in relief and try to open my mouth and talk but she just shush me with her index finger, shaking her head with tears running down her face signing to me not to say a word. ' Thank God you are awake' She said hugging me with all her strength and she start to cry again. I just look over her shoulder and saw my sister and brother standing beside my father with tears running down their faces and my father standing in front of me with a red rimmed eyes filled with unshed tears, before he turn on his heels and went out of the room maybe to go call the doctor. My siblings rushed over and group hug me with me in the middle and my mom at the side and that was how the doctor meet us . 'How are you feeling? Are you feeling dizzy? Headach?, Body Pain? he asked while taking my vitals. I want to answer him but he said ' No you don't have to force yourself I understand' he said when he sees me opening my mouth like a fish that lacks water 'Do you remember what happened to you?' he ask but I quickly shake my head and he sighs and said ' Don't worry everything is going to be alright it's just a matter of time before everything starts coming like a fragment piece' He face my parents and they start talking in a hush tone but am not interested in what they are saying because I think my memory is coming back. I close my eyes as the memory start to come back to me. Have i introduce myself to you? My name is Hanaan Ahmad and I remember what happened to me to make me lie lifelessly on the bed. ( A/N The flashback is going to be italicized and third person point of view) Hanaan came out of her room after she spent three hours on her laptop writing story on one of the numerous offline reading app she had on her laptop, she walked to the kitchen and grabbed an apple on the tray and bite into it while placing the kettle with water on the gas to boil so she can make tea with the hot water. She placed the apple on the kitchen table and stood on her toe to pick a cup from the overhead cupboard, she took the one she wants and rinse it and place it on the table,as she turned back to off the gas she felt an earthquake which rattled the plates and cups in the overhead cupboards and shakes the one on the table which dropped and smash on the floor. She holds the wall to steady herself from the earthquake until everywhere stop shaking and the kitchen was filled with dust. She noticed that the dust was coming out of her backyard and she moved cautiously to the backyard to check what caused the earthquake with a baseball bat in hand, she walked through the kitchen backdoor and step into the backyard, on stepping out she was shocked speechless with what she saw in her backyard. It was a freaking space ship just like the one she always sees in movies or on the internet, the ship started shaking before a lid pop open in the compartment of the ship and she took a step back and flinched when one of the compartment opens, but like they said, curiosity kills the cat. She drops the bat and stretch her neck from where she was standing to peeped into the ship from the compartment that opens. Unknowingly, to her the case that was inside the compartment as started to reflect blue light. She bend over and put her hand on top of the ship to feel it because she still find it strange and unbelievable that a space ship is in her backyard. The blue light grows bigger almost covering the half part of the ship before she was jutted out of her thoughts, she tried to run but it was too late. The light picks her up as if she weighs nothing and draw her to it source while infiltrating her body, she opens her mouth to shout for help but the sound was blocked by the buzzing of the light as it infiltrate her body. She heard the sound of the siren of the cop but it sounds distance to her ears. (End of the flash back) So what happened wasn't a dream? I asked myself Because I thought I was dreaming but somehow I can swear that when the thing lifted me up and I was suspended in the air it felt so real. As am battling with my memory the door open and four men in white doctor coat walk in with two females who are in nurse attires. I look up to my mom to say something but to my surprise am able to say voice out 'Mom who are they?' I asked her with a hoarse voice and looking at them with a suspicious eyes because I know they are not here for a good deeds, but before my mom could answer me it was the doctor that came in to took my vitals that answered my question ' They are the doctors together with me who are in charge of your study case' he explained ' My case? What do you mean my case? Do I look like a lab rat that can be study? I asked confused because if they think they can turn me into an experiment that will be observed, then they must be joking. ' No, I mean you are not a lab rat we just need to study what is occupying your body, because the space ship is own by the American government' he try to justify himself. But am not believing that s**t, because I have watched enough movies and read things like this on the net in books where victim like me is later turned into a government lab rat and wait what he made mention of American government right? ' You said American government right? I repeated so to be assured of what I hear him said. ' Yes, the American government. There is an experiment that can't be done here on Earth so the experiment was moved to space. It took so many months of experiments until it was successful but unfortunately has the ship with the crew of researchers were coming back down to Earth one of the engine failed and it was what led to it dropping in your backyard. Initially, GPS of where they are too dropped was sent to them but the ship was out of country and it spiral down to Nigeria instead of the coast of Nigeria, the golf of guinea. And now the months of hardwork, expenses, human labour is now living in your body.' he explained to me I was rendered speechless but I need to ask him what is the experiment all about. 'What is the experiment all about?' I asked him 'Actually, it is kind of confidential' he said sealing his lip tight 'Really. Is that what you are going to tell me. Don't you know i never asked for all this too happened to me, am just an accidental victim here who was at the wrong place at the wrong time.' I said to him and he try to justify himself but my Dad cuts him off 'It's okay, no need to argue or interrogate each other. Hanaan just wake from a month coma and am still wondering how she even get the strength to argue with you. So if you won't mind will you stop this millions of questions until she get well. As a doctor you know she needs a qualitative rest, so stop disturbing her and allow her to rest.' he told them being conscious of my health and state of mind at the moment. The doctors left the room and leave me alone with my family. My younger brother come to lie down beside me on the bed but he earns himself from my Mom who ask him to get down from the bed but he pout and shake his head not intending to get down hugging me to his body. I fall asleep with my Mom scolding him. I smile to myself knowing whatever is going to happen in future my family will always be there to support me.
