POV: Sarina
Sitting in the living room, I absentmindedly stroked my belly, lost in thoughts about everything that had been happening over the past few days. I was eager to meet my baby, but I had no idea how or when I would tell Zander… if I told him at all, considering everything that was going on.
Lost in my own mind, I was abruptly pulled from my trance by the sound of the front door slamming open. I shot to my feet, alarmed, and my shock deepened as I saw Zander storming in with firm strides and a face full of rage.
“Zander?” I took a step toward him, worried. “What happened?”
He didn’t answer right away. He shut the door behind him with a loud bang and stared at me with cold, hard eyes.
“Did you attack Lillian?”
