Killing Elite Monster Level 5

I didn’t hesitate in using my skill to transform the world into white and darkness again. this time, there were no twenty black dots, instead the whole area was empty except for three big black dots which were getting closer to me every passing second. My hiding place was closed by a weak cover. If this battle passed over my cover, it would be destroyed at once revealing me. I didn’t know what to do, as I watched helplessly the three dots fighting with each other ferociously. Their roars were getting higher and higher, as the tremors caused by their strong fight we're growing stronger every passing minute. I felt a cold sweat over my back, a usual reaction from me when facing an indomitable foe. Death was certain here, however I tried to calm myself. Death here had no value, and I wouldn’t even lose anything at all. However, old habits couldn’t easily die, so I still watched the ongoing battle with extreme eeriness as my mind was trying to speculate every possible scenario I would face. The end result was simple, if my cover was blown up then I would be killed. If I had a better sword or daggers then I could stand a chance. My current sword was useless, and I wouldn’t risk damaging it if I was discovered. I sat in my place watching the three dots nearing my hiding place, however just before they would damage my cover, the three monsters changed their course and moved in a curved path towards the forest. I was miraculously saved this time. Just as I took deep breaths, I noticed that one dot of them stopped moving abruptly. I felt it dead, however its black dot was getting weaker but never vanished. If a monster was killed, then it's balck dot would disappear, and that wasn’t the case here. That means that monster was badly wounded, but didn’t die yet. It was an opportunity, opportunity to kill a higher level monster without fighting it. There was less than fifteen minutes for the night to end, however that monster’s beacon of life was weakening every passing minute. After five minutes it became obvious to me. If I waited for the day light to shine over this world, this monster would be already dead. It seemed this game wouldn’t let me have it easy. I didn’t hesitate anymore, as the monster’s black fire was about to be extinguished. I grabbed my sword and exited my hiding place as I headed straight towards the direction of that dying monster. The only advantage to me was there was no other monster to disturb my plans. The battle between the three monsters was a deterrent to the rest of monsters. Once I exited the pit, I didn’t hurry to cancel my skill. I moved a couple of meters forward as I observed the two fighting monsters. They were moving steadily away from the dying monster. However their distance wasn’t that safe to me. they could easily spot me, but I had to do this or else I would regret it. risk was always in my nature, so why should I think about it rationally? Just before I canceled my skill I checked one last time the treasure box that I spotted before. As I feared, it was opposite to the direction of the monsters, which meant it was inside the lake. When I cancelled my skill, darkness prevailed. My eyes took a moment to adapt before I began to rush forward to the dying monster. I couldn’t move depending on my skill alone, as it didn’t show me the topography of this place. It wouldn’t be funny at all if I pumped into a tree with my full momentum. I began to move trying to avoid any obstacle in my way. The day light needed only four minutes to shine over these lands, however my monster didn’t have that time to live. I neared the place of that monster, as the sounds of the ongoing battle between the two others were echoing clearly here. The two monsters were nearby fighting a battle of death, while I was heading straight towards their fallen one. I hoped they wouldn’t notice me, as the body of the third monster began to appear in front of me. it had a big shade that resembled the big mighty demons in my old world. Although I knew it was a monster, a dying monster, my old instincts didn’t let me go directly to kill it. First I scanned the area, it was in the middle of nowhere with nothing to obstruct my path to it. So I activated my skill again, and the world was lightened in white thick fog with two huge black dots near me. they were like tens of meters away, which made my position here vulnerable. I doubted they didn’t already notice me, so I had no need to be more cautious. I totally focused over the dying monster, which black dot was about to fade away. I didn’t delay as I ran towards it with my strongest speed. Just as I was away from it by a couple of meters, I jumped high in the air. My sword was raised high up then I landed with my sword pointing towards the monster’s body. I descended with all my weight depending on my sword, a trick I learnt a long time ago in my old life, a trick used to support me if I was facing a foe with formidable defense. Although this wasn’t the case here, I needed to make sure this monster would die under my sword. “Ding: you dealt a fatal blow to the merwolf monster.” That sound was accompanied by a red umber that flashed in my eyes even when I was using my skill. it was a number of three figures, three hundred. That was the damage I just caused to this monster. “System Notif: player has killed merwolf monster level five elite monster. Player gained five hundred XP.” “System Notif: Player has risen one level.” “System Notif: Player has risen one level.” “System Notif: Player has risen one level.” Wow, killing just this monster pushed me three levels in one go. now my level wasn’t level zero, but level three. I also wasn’t far from upgrading to level four. Killing that monster wasn’t done quietly as I hoped, as it roared for the last time before its death, a roar that definitely was heard everywhere around here. Waiting here for any longer wasn’t an option for me, so I canceled the skill and turned to run back towards my hiding pit. However I didn’t move, as I spotted something shiny on the ground. It struck me, as killing any monster in this game would give me some equipment and other things. I didn’t leave as I collected what was on the ground without even glancing at anything. Then I ran back towards my hiding pit. After I moved far enough for the place, I noticed that the two monsters weren’t looking at me at all. They both were engaged in their death battle, which was something good for me. at least I managed to escape unscathed from there. If they were normal level five monsters, I wouldn’t fear them now. I was at level three, not zero as before. However they both were elite monsters like the one I just killed. Elite monsters were stronger than normal monsters. I didn’t doubt my ability in killing them one on one, but the presence of two monsters made it difficult for me to do so. In addition to that, I had no faith in my useless sword to last till the end of this battle. I felt some ache all over my body, as my breaths were racing up. This wasn’t a surprise, as I had my previous life body with the abilities of a mere beginner. My body couldn’t keep up with my moves stored in my mind, and that made me reflect on using any moves without calculating the effect over my current body. I needed to be more careful in the future. As I stopped running, the darkness began to recede and the light started to show up finally. I took a deep breath as this was the time I would start leveling up and working hard in this game. But first, I had to deal with those two who kept fighting each other in a strange brutality, even after the berserk effect of the night ended.
