“Somehow, we need to discuss this plan we’ve come up with without making it sound too much like treason,” Johnathan cautions me as we prepare to meet with the 10 Oregon Alphas who have agreed to come to Bull Run this afternoon. “If word of this meeting should get back to Emerald Pack, we don’t want to get anyone into trouble.”
“Especially us!” I say emphatically, and everyone at the table agrees wholeheartedly.
“Exactly, I don’t want my pups growing up without their mother because someone gets the wrong idea about this meeting,” my Gamma Portia says, looking uncomfortable. “Treason is such an ugly word.”
