9. Chapter – Reunited

Evelyn p.o.v.

After lunch I had two more classes. Gym and History. Ethan and Michelle were both in my Gym class. Michelle told me William is there too. But I didn't see him.

After my last class Ethan took mem to Jacob and Theo like he promised. The entire drive there was silent.

»Stop worying. Everything will be fine.« we were outside their home.

And I was nervous like hell.

»What if they don't recognise me? Or what if they hate me? Or both?«

»They will recognise you. And they won't hate you.«

»How are you so sure?«

»Let's make a bet. If they hate you I will do whatever you want me to do. And if they don't hate you, you will do something I'll want you to do? Deal?«

»Deal.«

We entered the house. And so far I didn't see anyone.

»Jacob, Theo! Get down here right now.«

After a moment I heard footsteps and I looked down at the floor. I was to scared.

»What is it?« said one voice.

»What do you want?« said another voice.

I couldn't look.

»Remember 8 years ago? The fire?«

»Yes. Why are you bringing it up?« said the second voice.

Ethan stepped aside and I heard them gasp. And I looked at them. I recognised them immediately. Jacob was looking at me like he've seen a ghost.

»Evelyn?« Theo said.

»Yes.«

Jacob was just looking at me and then he turned around and left. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to cry and scream. My knees buckled and if Ethan wouldn't be there to catch me I would fall.

Theo ran to me and huged me. I started crying. I couldn't belive I was holding my little brother.

»Don't wory about Jacob. He is just schocked like we are. But he'll come back down don't wory.« »Theo? I can't believe it's you. Finally after all these years.« we were holding each other like there's ni tomorrow.

Then Ethan appeared. »Jacob is in his room. He said he wants to ralk. Come on I'll take you to him.« Ethan was taking me to Jacob's room and Theo didn't let go of me.

»He's in here. We will leave you alone. Scream if you need anything.« Then they left.

For a while I just stood there. Tried to knock but I hestitated. And when I finally gatered the courage the door opened. Seeing him in front of me I couldn't help it. I hugged him. After a moment he hugged me back.

»Promise me. Promise me this is really you. That you won't leave me again.« »I promise.«

After we calmed we went back downstairs to Ethan and Theo. This time there was also Adam. I hugged him and after that I stayed there for dinner to catch up on everything that I missed.

Adam is gettng married in a month with Sophia and already has a kid Anna who is 2. I still have to meet both of them. Ethan has a girlfriend too. Her name is Grace. Jacob just broke up with his girlfriend because she was cheating on him when she visited her grandparents in New York during summer. And Sebastian joined the army.

I can't wait to tell dad. I wonder how he will react.
