As we continued to dance I could feel eyes on us. It was a little uncomfortable but I tried to ignore it. I think Lucien could feel my uneasiness and let out a little growl. I looked up at him and saw him looking around.
"Hey, look at me," I said to him. He looked back down at me. "It's okay, they're just curious. Don't mind me. I'm just not use to all eyes being on me."
"That's what you think. I was watching you and Stella dance. I saw the way other wolves were looking at you. I had to mind link them all to back off before I ripped their eyes out. You are beautiful Nicole," he said looking straight into my eyes. I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks and he smiled. Maybe I could be happy here.
Stella came barging over, a pissed look on her face. "Uh-oh what happened now," I said to her. She looked like she was going to burst.
"I turn around for two seconds to get a drink and he's dancing with another she-wolf. Like hello I'm still standing right here!" She practically shouted.
"Okay, do you need me to help kick his ass?" I smiled at her.
"Yesss please!" She said with a mischievous grin on her face.
"No, you are not kicking anyones ass and neither are you Stella. Just calm down. Don't make a scene, It's your brothers mating ceremony," Lucien said as he looked at us with concern.
"Fine, but I can't promise anything when I let my wolf out for the run," Stella said as she waled away.
I looked at Lucien, "I should probably go before the run. I don't want to be in the way."
"No, don't leave," Lucien said with urgency in his voice, "You can come with us."
"Umm, yeah one problem there. I'm human remember," I said
"You can ride on my back, my wolf is big enough to carry you," he said seriously.
"You can't do that, I'm heavy as hell," I said as I was about to walk away.
"Oh you're not going anywhere. And i highly doubt your heavy, you're what like 120 pounds. Thats nothing," Lucien said as he walked behind a tree. When he came back out from behind it, he was no longer in his human form, but a beautiful black wolf with his same green eyes looking at me. He walked up to me and he nudged my hand with his snout telling me to climb on. I did and he let out a long howl telling everyone it was time for the run. I held on to his fur, which was so soft. It felt nice having the wind blow around me as Lucien ran. I looked back to see the rest of the pack following us. It was a full moon so I could see more of the forest than normal. It was absolutely beautiful. We all stopped at a lake and I got off. I took my shoes off and dipped my feet into the water. It was warm and felt good on my feet. I saw Luciens wolf walk up next to me and lay down.
"Your a beautiful wolf," I said as i sat next to him and started stroking his fur. He nuzzled into me and rested his head in my lap. We sat quietly like this for some time with the rest of the pack doing the same. It felt peaceful. I could get use to this. But what about my in the city? I mean I was an artist and sold my art at a local gallery and I could still do that if I stayed here. I could break my lease and move here if that's what he wanted. I looked down at his wolf and he was looking at me already. I smiled back at him and patted his head. In the back of my mind though I thought to myself, would he still look at me the same after I told him about my last relationship?
