Chapter 2

Darcie wiped the blood from her eyes, raised her head, stared directly at Neo, and emotionlessly said, "Neo, let's divorce."

The woman's face was pale and weak, her hair and face covered in blood, but her voice was full of resolute strength.

Neo involuntarily stepped back when he met Darcie's strong gaze, realizing what he had done. His face stiffened, and he coldly said, "I hope you really think this way and are not playing any games!"

"Playing games?" Darcie repeated the words as if she had heard a joke, then looked at Neo with disdain, "Just who do you think you are you asshole?”

Neo was furious, he gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, you're quite something, Darcie!"

He took out the prepared divorce agreement and threw it at Darcie.

Darcie raised her hand and effortlessly caught the agreement in midair, skimmed through it, and tore it up and threw it at him.

"What's wrong? Are you regretting it? You just said you weren't playing games, but you're actually a scheming woman." Seeing Darcie's actions, Neo words came out nonstop, like a machine gun.

Darcie didn't feel angry when she heard Neo's words, just annoyed.

Darcie couldn't believe that she, who was once pampered and had a fortune, could be so patient after losing her memory, tolerated a man like this and willingly served him. She could even be generous and indifferent about Neo's blatant affection for another woman.

Darcie felt that she couldn't bear to look back on her past, and she had lost all her dignity in these short three years.

"This divorce agreement gives you all the benefits, while I get nothing, completely penniless. If I were the i***t from not long ago, I might sign it, but unfortunately, I'm not that person anymore!" She emphasized the last part of her sentence.

Seeing that Neo wanted to speak, Darcie didn't give him the chance and continued, "You should revise the divorce agreement, but only until I'm satisfied. I hope you put some effort into it since the one who's eager to divorce right now is you, not me!"

"Sure enough, just like I thought, a gold digger. Now your true nature is finally revealed!" Neo snorted

"40 million?" Neo said .

Darcie was shocked and looked at Neo in disbelief.

Seeing Darcie's reaction, Neo sneered disdainfully and spoke arrogantly, "A woman like you from the slums really hasn't seen much of the world, getting so excited over 40 million."

Darcie brushed her hair behind her ear, raised her chin slightly, and looked at Neo coldly, saying lightly, "No, I'm just shocked at how stingy you are. Is this measly 40 million meant for beggars?"

She used to not even blink at 40 million and had never cared about such a small sum of money. Now that Neo was trying to dismiss her with this amount, Darcie found it amusing.

"You're calling me stingy?" Neo stared at Darcie with wide eyes, not believing that she had said those words.

Darcie faced his questioning without any panic and calmly replied, "Yes, I said it. How come President Neo's ears are not working well at such a young age? Maybe in a few days, people will have to speak to you through a loudspeaker dummy”.

"Oh, by the way, I want to remind President Neo of something. I've been married to you for a long time, not three days or three months, but three whole years! Have you ever thought that if I'm still shocked by 40 million, it's actually your failure?"

"Do you want outsiders to know that the glamorous President Neo is so stingy with his wife at home?"

Neo's face turned green, and he couldn't say a word.

Indeed, he didn't want others to know, because if it were exposed, the company's stock would surely fall a lot. "So what do you want?"

Darcie glanced at the agreement, and her red lips slightly opened, followed by a number: "800 million."

This completely exceeded Neo's expectations, and he exclaimed, "Why don't you just go rob a bank?"

"Is President Neo, the head of Neo Corporation, one of the biggest corporations in the country, unable to come up with a mere 800 million?" As Darcie spoke, she examined Neo from head to toe, the contempt in her eyes only growing.

Neo said out loud, "Why can't I come up with it. It’s just 800 million ? "Darcie's look made him feel humiliated . He felt like strangling her.

"Tsk, I didn't expect you the so-called president Neo to be so forthright."

After taking a look around, she said, "Then give me this villa too."

"Darcie, don't push your luck you nasty,corny b***h!" Neo didn't think Darcie would ask for so much, like 800 million coins and the house.

Neo didn't have to work hard to be able to buy the house. Darcie just said, "I'll give you 400 million." It was his money anyway.

The house was only worth 300 million. Neo didn't see any reason not to say, "Fine." He wanted to get rid of this woman and get divorced as soon as possible.

As soon as Neo agreed, Darcie said, "I'm a clean freak." It makes me sick to think about other people living in a place where I've lived.

"What do you mean, Darcie?" Neo couldn't help but ask when he heard Darcie's jerk tone.

There was no fear in Darcie's voice when she said, "I mean, you're dirty, and the thought that Mabel might live here with you one day makes me sick." I think your beloved Mabel is already on her way, right? Are you sure you still want to argue with me about these unimportant things and waste time?"

When she is insulting him, how could she call it a small thing?

But Neo knew it was important to see Mabel, so he chose not to spend any more time with Darcie, who was only interested in money.

Neo called his lawyer and was filled with anger. "Lawyer Chester, make a divorce agreement based on the requirements I will send you later and bring it over," he said.

Neo was definitely not in the best mood when Lawyer Chester walked in. Darcie was sitting at the table, taking it easy. Chester was so scared when he saw the figure walk in, that he couldn't even breathe. Neo's dark pupils raced over him.

"President Neo, I've brought the divorce agreement." Chester quickly moved away after putting the papers on the table.

Over the past two years, he had written at least a thousand divorce deals based on Neo's orders. But every time, Darcie asked President Neo to stop. Chester thought this time would be the same, but when he saw the deal, he was shocked. The wife was actually getting something good out of the deal this time. Besides that, the mood between them was different from before. Not only did the wife not beg, but she also seemed to fit Neo's vibe just right.

Neo took out a pen and signed without looking. He then pushed the paper in front of Darcie and said, "Sign."

Darcie wasn't as relaxed as Neo was. The deal was written by Neo's side, so what if there were any traps? She took a quick look over the deal, then signed it when she was sure there were no problems.

Neo laughed at Darcie's behaviour and asked, "Pretending to be serious about checking the agreement? What can an uneducated woman like you understand?" Or maybe you didn't want to let me go right away and wanted to put it off?"

The words made Darcie so mad that she almost wanted to laugh instead. "I just found out today that you have a narcissistic problem. I've been with you for three years," she said with a frown and an angry look at Neo. This is a sickness. Neo, don't forget to treat it early. I'm afraid you'll be killed if it gets too late.

"Darcie, how dare you!" Neo got so angry that he stood up and looked at Darcie.

She had thought Neo might hit her, but then his phone rang.

The sound was familiar,it was Mabel calling. Darcie's eyebrows raised slightly as she realised this.

She started questioning her self how she ended up with such a man and to say she really like him without her memory . God forbid look what loss of memory has put her through.

Darcie kept an unfriendly eye on Neo as he picked up the phone and softly said, "Mabel."
