Episode 1 - A Pack Destroyed
DESTINY
The war was finally over! No one even knew how it had started, it had been that long ago. All I knew was that we had lost.
The packlands were in ruins. The Warriors from the neighboring Pack had laid waste to my beloved home. Once a beautiful and thriving community, it is now a ghost town.
The few remaining bodies were being cleared by the enemy, the smoldering buildings and strewn belongings were all that were left. I picked my way through, salvaging anything that might be useful. My long dark hair and dirt-covered face made it easier to slip among the shadows. I was small and nimble, so it wasn't hard. Only my eyes would shine out, they always did. Bright blue and twinkling in the fading fires, they would have been the only thing that gave any indication there was someone there.
I had to hide. The Warriors of the Blood Sun pack were rounding up any strays- any rogues that were left.
A Rogue. That's what I am now. No longer the beloved daughter of the Beta's of the Shimmering Waves Pack. That Pack was no more. I sighed, I didn't know what had happened to my Alpha, or my mother and father. All I knew was right now, I had to survive. I had to escape. I could figure everything out once I had reached a safe place -if there was even one now. I couldn't dwell on the pain I was feeling.
Keeping my head low, I darted forward, aiming for the shadow of the Pack house. The once magnificent building lay destitute, broken windows and furniture scattered across the once immaculate gardens.
Peering out between the low hanging branches of a willow tree, I scoured the windows for signs of movement. The Blood Suns Warriors were everywhere, they were relentless. Shifting to their wolf form to cover more ground. Their heightened sense of smell and keen eyesight were able to pick out anyone hiding in the ruins.
I didn't know what was happening to her fellow Pack members, but I didn't want to find out. Nathaniel Crescent, the Alpha of the Blood Suns Pack was not known for his mercy or forgiving nature. The war between the two packs had raged on for years, very few people even knew why it had started and I certainly wasn't one of them.
Taking a deep breath, I prepared, once more, to move. I knew I couldn't stay in one place for long. I braced myself to run.
SNAP
A sharp noise behind me made me freeze.
Someone was coming.....
