Chapter 3

Baine's POV

Dean being brought back from the dead was what I expected it to be. I think we all knew he was being dangled in front of the people he cares about. She was trying to get there attention in a twisted way. She liked games. I'm starting to think it's more of a witch thing.

Jordan lifted off the wall. "I'm assuming Rosie knows about this story? Thats why she sent me here, correct?"

Mira nodded. "I mentioned it back when the whole Dean being alive thing came to light. She had alot of questions for me. She was trying to understand magic and how it was possible to bring someone back from the dead like that. We both felt like it wasn't necessary to share this information at the time and Rosie wanted more information from Sharon, especially since there was no way to prove that these rumors were true. Liam even went to vist Daltons old pack grounds a few days ago. It was burned to the ground which is why she felt like maybe the rumors are true and why shes bringing you all in with this information. I also suspect Dean was never supposed to die and my mother had to prove herself again with Delta"

Jordan's looked more pissed than I ever seen him. He kept shaking his head back and forth and looked like he was linking with someone. If I had to guess, it was probably Rosie.

He cleared his throat after a few minutes of everyone being silent while he linked. "I guess keeping me in the dark was the only way to keep Mia from doing something reckless. I however don't agree with it."

He glared while pointing his finger at me. "I know you're pissed or whatever, but I never thought you would go along with keeping information from Mia and I. We should've been involved. I thought you were cool with us and wanted her to be happy? I still don't understand why you are still involved?"

I bit the side of my cheeks. "I do want her to be happy and we all felt it was better and safer if she didn't know everything yet. It's always been one thing after another. We all just wanted to give her some peace for as long as we could."

It wasn't a lie, but damn was it hard to admit that to him.

Jordan's sighed like he was annoyed with my answer. "Mia's not going to like everyone's excuses, even if you all were trying to protect her. She feels betrayed. I can tell through our bond how upset she is. I haven't told her yet, but i think she's figured it out."

He didn't give me a chance to respond. He brought his attention back to Mira. "Is there any chance that Delta doesn't know we're on to her? Do you think she knows we figured it out that it's Dean under the damn mask?"

Mira gave him a dirty look. "I have no way of knowing that. Unless Luke knows that Rosie figured it out and reported it back to Delta. What's crazy to me is how many people are doing her dirty work. I'm just shocked shes not front and center wanting everyone to know how powerful she truly is. Like why stay in the shadows? Unless she's hoping most people really don't believe that she exists. Truth is I wasn't a hundred percent sure until Liam confirmed that Dalton existed. She tried hard to make sure that it was covered up."

Jordan came and sat down next to me. I guess he was sick of standing. "Rosie said she was close to taking off his mask, but something took over him before she could. It haunts Mia how possessed the mask man was. To think that it's her brother has haunted many of her dreams. Rosie never said his name out loud until she was far enough a way. I really am hoping Delta has no clue we suspect that it's him because I have a feeling she will make us aware when its convenient for her and try to back us into a corner. Because let's face it, if Rosie and Mia weren't aware that Dean was alive she would lure them out with that information. I could even see Rosie and Mia trading themselves for Dean or even meeting up with her alone as a trap. I really do think we could use this to our advantage."

I really hate how right he is. Jordan's smart, I'll give him that. Maybe she wasn't dangling Dean infront of us just yet.

Colby hit my shoulders with his. I wasn't sure what he was trying to get at. He linked me. "Why does Sharon think you sister is involved with Delta?"

I couldn't hide the confusion from my face if I tried.

Jordan gave me a concerned look. "What do you know?"

I understood he probably thought it has something to do with Dean and Mia. I knew i had no choice but to tell him."

I gulped nervously. I always hated bringing her up. I can't even say her name to this day. "When Mia and I were captured by Sharon, Sharon implied that my sister's mate wasnt her true mate and that Sharon helped him fake the bond and my sister figured it out and she was killed for it. But one of the nights Colby and I were questioning her she implied that Delta was some how involved with my sister. She wouldn't give me more than that. But I think we did her a favor by killing Shawn. I think he was just a puppet. Delta wants his child. I think your right she's wanting the most powerful creatures and the lycan king wasn't following in line."

Mira nodded. "I agree. I think him, lex, my mom and many others are all under Delta command. Im guessing the big picture is for her to take over the coven..... If you want to talk about your sister and give me some names I can look into it for you?"

She was treading carefully. She stood and came over to me and reached for my hand. "Mia told me about her. I know it still haunts you that you couldn't save her and never got any real answers. Have you talked to your father? Or maybe you could let me. He might not even realize that he knows things?"

Jordan got up abrubtly and tossed his hands in the air. "Mira, Sharon is probably pulling his leg. Baine is putting himself and his entire pack at risk once again for getting involved with something that has nothing to do with him. I'm sure Sharon acted alone when it came to his sister and her mate, well fake mate."

Mira looked like she was about to put Jordan in his place and I feared that she may get into trouble for it. I put my hand up. "Stop, we can't ask my father anything. He's dead."

Both Mira and Jordan's expressions changed into sorrow. Mira touched her chest. "What happened?"
