Alexander I woke up, confused in the darkness, unsure if it was morning or still night. My body felt weak and tired, and the only thing keeping me from passing out was the presence of Papa beside me. I wonder what our fate would be. Papa's words from before I slept kept echoing in my mind. Aunt Aurora and Papa's beta, having an affair, planning to kill Papa. "No wonder she warned me not to come home when Papa travelled," I thought. "I knew something was off, the way they looked at each other. It all makes sense now." I looked down at Papa, though I couldn't see him in the darkness, I felt overwhelmingly pity for him. He was a good alpha who didn't deserve this. He had protected our pack and made numerous sacrifices. "Moon goddess, why are you treating us like this?" I couldn't help but wonder aloud. While I fought with these thoughts, the sound of a prison entrance gate opening broke the silence. A voice followed, "How are my favourite prisoners doing? Hope you're enjoying your new home." Then, I saw her. She was dressed in a white lace dress with heavy makeup. "What did Papa do to deserve this?" I couldn't contain my curiosity. "The worthless son is standing up for his father," she sneered. "But you won't be defending your weak papa for long. Tomorrow, my precious son turns 18 and will take over as the alpha of this pack." Her evil laughter sent chills down my spine. "No! You can't do that. The pack won't accept it," I protested. "Well, boy, watch it happen," she replied coldly. "And as for your little girlfriend who's been giving you food, she'll be severely punished. Maybe my son will find her interesting in bed." She taunted before leaving. "No! You can't do that! Please, leave Yvonne out of this," I pleaded desperately. I didn't know whom to protect anymore - myself, Papa, or Yvonne. She is just an orphaned girl who had lost her parents in a rogue fight, the same day Mama died. "I wish I had a wolf. I wish I was powerful. Moon goddess, you made a mistake," I cried silently. Aurora I strolled around the alpha's seat, picturing my son sitting there. My plans were falling into place. My son would soon become the alpha of this great pack, and tonight, he would finally have his wolf. It felt like the moon had answered my deepest desires. At this moment, I am the happiest mother alive. But Eva, my headmaid, interrupted my thoughts. "Luna, I'll be going to the mall to get some things for the festival," she said. "You can use my car, and you should take a guard with you," I offered. "Also, inform the event planner to start sharing the invitation cards. I want all the Alpha from every werewolf clan to be in attendance." "Yes, Luna," she answered before leaving me alone again with my thoughts. So, I began to think of how to kill Alpha Nicolas without causing problems in the pack. I couldn't think of a better way to handle it without it resulting in chaos. I had come too far to fail. I decided to consult Williams, the beta, for a solution. I searched every corner of our house for Williams but I couldn't find him. Just as I was about to head back to the alpha's building, I caught a glimpse of him with Kimberly, the nurse in the pack. I was dumbfounded. He was supposed to be mine, but he was cheating on me with her? She wasn't even on my level. I felt pained and belittled, meanwhile, he didn't see me, and I liked it that way. He wouldn't know what is coming for him. Back in my room, I dialled Williams’s number. It took him a while to answer. "Hello, honey," I pretended. "Please, I would like to see you soon; there's an urgent matter we need to discuss." "Alright, darling. I'll be there soon," he answered, but when I asked where he was, he acted like he didn't hear and ended the call. "I will deal with you. Williams Anderson," I threatened, glaring at his picture on my phone. About twenty minutes later, he arrived, wearing a fake smile. "How are you, darling?" he asked, attempting to kiss me. I dodged his lips; I was too disgusted to even look at him. But I had to play along. "I'm so worried right now," I said. "What is it?" he asked, pretending to be concerned. "I couldn't come up with what to do with Williams. I don't know what allegations to give to him." "Well," he began, "you will kill him, make it public, tell the people that he is under the influence of a great sorceress. He agreed to make the sorceress's daughter Luna and his wolf-less son of alpha." "The only way to stop him is to burn him alive. This way, everyone who protests will be considered an enemy of the pack and will face the same fate as him. I will be there to testify against him as his beta." "That's a great idea, Williams," I replied, flashing a fake smile. "Thank you for always standing by me." "Come here, my lady," he beckoned, embracing me, while my mind raced. "Williams, I don't know what you're planning, but be rest assured, I will be ahead of you." "Are you okay, Aurora?" he asked. I nodded. "Yes, I am." We celebrated our successes, a little while longer before he left. As Williams left, I couldn't shake the feeling that he was up to something. His quick plan on how to lay false allegations on Williams and kill him gave me concern. I knew I had to stay one step ahead of him. But first, I had to tarnish Nicolas's reputation, people would see him as an incompetent Alpha and unfit to rule them. So, I quickly called Mia Smith, the tech guru I’ve chosen for my son to marry. She's a tech guru and also power-hungry. I chose her for a reason and now is the time. “Hello, my darling. How're you doing? I asked.”I'm doing great Luna” she replied. “Good, do you still want to be the Luna of the Red Moon pack? “Yes, of course, Luna with my every breath. Her response made me smile. “Good Girl. I hailed. “Now, you will create a voice note, using Alpha Nicolas’s voice”. “I will forward a voice note to you after this call, it's his voice, Listen to it carefully”. “Use it to create a voice note about him planning on making his wolf-less son the alpha and marrying a sorceress's daughter for him as his Luna”. “Once you're through, spread it and let everyone receive it on their phones. “Don’t waste any time, do it immediately,” I commanded. “Yes, Luna. She said, “Good! Bye”. As soon as I hung up, I sent her Nicolas a voice note. About two hours later, I got a notification from Mia that the deal had been accomplished. I felt a butterfly in my stomach. I decided to step out to observe myself. The moment I walked past a group of women, they greeted me respectfully but I could see pity written all over their faces. With the way they were acting, I knew that the news had circulated like wildfire, sowing disunity among the pack members. “Luna! Luna!! I heard. Turning my head I saw a woman running towards me. “What happened?" I asked, acting concerned. “Luna, every member of our pack is worried. We heard that Alpha is working with the sorceress and his worthless son will be our alpha. “No! No!!.. That's not true, how did you hear this? I pretended like I knew nothing. “The news is everywhere, Luna”. “Sorry, Luna. You don't deserve this. Her voice filled with concern while I acted like I was devastated. The moment she left, I had this evil grin plastered on my face “Tomorrow, you die Williams.
