Chapter 2 I was about to re-enter the workshop when Damon waved at me from the other side of the glass door. Then he flicked the lock. "You're a bastard!" I shouted at him. He nodded in mock seriousness then headed toward the back. The last glimpse I caught was of him dragging his hand through his hair before he disappeared behind the big black bike again. Damn him! I walked back to my car and kicked the front tire. I was about to climb in when I spotted a narrow lane a couple doors up from his workshop. It was more of a driveway than a lane, even though it seemed to go all the way through to the other street. It was bordered by high wooden fences all the way along on both sides.
