Chapter 26 - Double Mate
Jake POV Delilah visibly jumped as my fist connected with the outside wall of her cottage and scuttles inside to get away from me. Delilah just received word that Neve would not be returning tonight. She was staying the night with Lync and Leo. I growl thinking of her alone with those two warriors. “Control yourself,” my father flashes me a warning look as he pokes his head out of the front door. “Sorry,” I mutter. “I just cannot stand thinking about Neve being alone with those warriors.” My father comes up beside me and squeezes my shoulder. “Son, you have nothing to worry about. Neve is not alone with just any warriors. I have met Lyall and Luke before, they are loyal to Nathaniel. They would not allow anything to happen to Neve.” “I am not concerned about Lyall and Luke,” I growl.
