After clearing the table, Lyall summons Lync and Leo to his study to discuss their strategy for attacking Edgar in greater detail. Lexi and Luci have gone into their wing of the house with their mother. I am helping Ava to finish cleaning up the kitchen and we are chatting comfortably until the conversation turns to Lync and Leo.
“So you are getting pretty close to my boys,” she flashes me a cheeky grin as I feel the heat start to rise in my cheeks. Placing her hand gently on my arm. “I am only teasing, sweetheart. It is just very obvious that there is some very strong chemistry between you three.”
“T-that is true,” I start, not sure how to respond to Ava’s comment. I decide to just go with brutal honesty. “But I am not quite sure of what to make of it all.”
“How so?” she asks
