They decided to bring Heather’s wheelchair, just in case she got too tired from the outing. None of them knew what to expect.
Thom arrived five minutes before 2:00 p.m. in his extended cab pickup truck. He put the wheelchair in the bed of the truck and helped Heather climb into the backseat, and Kyle followed. Kathryn sat up front with Thom.
“Off we go!” he said, merrily.
