Danni slipped out of my truck early in the morning and drove back to her hotel to shower and change. I did likewise and entered the op’s room before anyone else.
I cued the drone footage from the previous day and watched it carefully. The drone had followed the escaping enemy troops to the edge of the jungle. It was this footage that I went over, frame by frame. I magnified several of the high-res photos and my suspicions were confirmed. Zannu had massed a large fighting force just inside the tree line. From the photos, I estimated it to be about five hundred strong and several RPG-7’s were clearly visible.
